If they can pot a PP goal tonight that would be an immediate boost to their confidence. Can’t wait to see the new toy in action!!

I get the impression you think Lou got fleeced.

I would agree with that. I think they would move on from Bailey if they could right now. Though I’m sure they’d like to find a way to make him produce till then. Who knows what these lines will look like next week. They got him signed first step that had to happen to make this trade good. Looking forward to seeing how the team responds. Good to see some new blood on the team it was getting stale.

Total assumption, but maybe they slide Bailey up to 1LW to showcase him? I don’t think it’s likely, but the isles have “some” talent in the system and the 2024 first rounder. I get the fear of depleting their future, but I guess for the right winger it might be worth the shot.

Half the fanbase thinks Lou is throwing the punches and the other half thinks he's receiving them

I think Bailey is past the point of showcasing.

All kidding aside I think there’s something to what you’re saying but I think it’s more what I said in a post the other day. Between injuries and how the “productive” lines are already laid out there’s nothing else to do with him then put him there and hope for the best.

There’s conditions on that first rounder in 2024 but I guess we’ll know it’s availability by the trade deadline. Nows not the time to start caring about the future. Lameriello throw that out the window with this trade. Full speed ahead into oblivion.

Yeah he really has played himself out of a spot. When Wahlstrom is healthy he really has no place, which is why I feel like they’re trying to make him look more palatable. I would not be surprised if Lou isn’t done. Happy the isles FINALLY have a 1-2 punch for years to come.

Yeah I’m not too worried about the future as the isles I believe had a decent draft last year and can always sell at a deadline or draft to accumulate some picks/depth. The isles have a core that will be together for 5+ years so there’s plenty of time to draft.

The half that thinks he’s receiving the punches are the same that scream “shoot it” 63 times when the isles are on the PP with the puck behind the goal line.

I actually don’t mind playoff Josh Bailey. They don’t have much time to make a playoff push so maybe and he gets focused and starts trying while playing w Bo and Barzy? Or maybe not. One can hope.

I don’t think anyone would mind seeing Bailey’s past playoff production come back to life. I don’t know if he still has it. I can’t see a way of getting rid of him anyway so hopefully we find out. Let’s see if we can make the playoffs first. I think everyone is forgetting that is still going to be a monumental task.

Of course he does. He’s always had “it”. He just never uses “it” until the playoffs.

I’m just saying it would be nice if playing with Horvat gives him that spark and they get playoff Bailey now as they make their push. We shall see.

Interesting, I figured he would be in tomorrow, but then again giving Sororkin another day off after all star weekend isn't the worst thing especially with how well he plays at home.

Now this is what I’d hoped to see.

Except for this new Praise fellow. Much rather they just dress Parise.

It may. Hopefully it does. There’s just no where else to play him anyway so hopefully it works. Barzal said the other day the team hasn’t had a spark like this in years so hopefully this lights a fire under the arses.
