That's cause baseball sux to watch on TV. Hell, when i go to games its hard to stay past the 6th inninng.

I used to take sleeping pills to fall asleep, i now watch baseball

- vabeachbear

Different strokes for different folks. I can watch a few innings on TV, however if I go to a game, I always stay until the end. Hockey and baseball are my two favorite sports. I can watch my favorite baseball team, however watching other teams doesn’t do much for me. Now, hockey I can watch any game, doesn’t matter what teams are involved.

I would have thought viewership would increase with the now inclusion of the alphabet mafia.

Don't those groups now support the NHL since they wear those jerseys, logos and messages in the ice to remind everyone how racist hockey is?

Hopefully with the new diversity measures and hires those demanding it will show up for the league.

Rumor is that Kane will veto any trade out of Chicago. Anyone else hear this rumor or can confirm it?

FWIW, Wheeler's top 15 prospects are:

Kevin Korchinski
Lukas Reichel
Frank Nazar
Ryan Greene
Sam Rinzel
Ethan Del Mastro
Drew Commesso
Arvid Söderblom
Ilya Safonov
Colton Dach
Wyatt Kaiser
Isaak Phillips
Alex Vlasic
Paul Ludwinski
Victor Stjernborg

Wonder where the Hawks would have ranked if they didn’t trade ADB and Dach? And weaponized cap space (partially by not resigning Strome and Kubalik) with Toronto?

I really do not know how anyone lasts beyond 3 innings If you have a problem sleeping turn on MLB and you will sleep like a baby

Baseball is a perfect radio sport.

Football is best to watch on TV.

Hockey is best to attend live.

Basketball is unwatchable.

Exhale…..

Imo hawks will end up getting either 2 or 3 in the draft. Due to the Beach situation they won't get the 1st overall pick. Even though it would make sense for nhl to make sure hawks to the 1st overall pick seeing they the 2nd biggest market in America for nhl. Which in turn getting the hawks to playoffs sooner than later Ala NY rangers.

Maybe Larkin signs for that with Detroit and quashes his trade rumors.

In Zach's previous blog someone posted a tweet from Bar Stool sports saying Kane and Toews are staying. Who knows?

I don't think the beach incident should have anything to due whether the hawks get 1st overall just using it as context on what the nhl and bettman might perceive how it looks if hawks get the 1st overall pick. Scandal and still get a generational player.

So you’re suggesting the lottery system is rigged?

Let’s pretend for a second that the NHL did actually rig the lottery (simmer down PE). How long would the Hawks have to wait until they were allowed to be blessed with another 1OA pick?

They already launched everyone associated with that situation into the sun. They are clawing to hang on to the worst record in the league, and a few months away from losing the two most iconic players the team has had in the last 30+ years.

KD should re-sign Kane for 5 years at $8 million per and Toews for 2 years at $4 million per.

Trade McCabe and Murphy at the TDL and retain 50% on each (gotta get to that cap floor). Trade for Myers from Vancouver and get another asset. Sign Shattenkirk for 1 year at $4 million.

GENIUS!!!

Ha ha 20 games of Myers and this BOD will be screaming why KD didn’t just keep Murphy.

Reason #3 Covid lockdowns are over, and people are going back to their normal activities. See Zoom, Peloton, and social media stocks for reference. Also see baseball’s ratings last year. They were down the toilet too.

You know maybe Lou will still go after Kane? Looks like they have enough cap room if we retain half his salary.

They have modified no-trade clauses - Murphy has a 10 team no-trade list and McCabe has 7. Both situations are quite manageable. Myers has a 10 team no-trade list, my guess is that players are lining up to leave the Canucks.

KD has done a masterful job replenishing the Blackhawks prospect pool but there is an aspect of his job that remains untested - contract negotiations.

KD’s only signed two $1 million + contracts that has a term of 2+ years. He’s years away from re-signing players to big money deals, but he could be in a position to sign UFAs sooner (especially if the Hawks get the #1 pick this year). I’m not saying KD will be the second coming of SB with contracts, he’s just unproven at this point.
