Sanheim and his 8 year contract supposedly headed to Edmonton..lol
I'm sure they have a lot to offer to make it worth it....right....
With that said, feltcher is still our GM so anything is possible and that scares me |

How often does a team re-sign a player to an 8 year deal only to trade him a short time later?

Well, the Flyers do have a history... see Jeff Carter & Mike Richards.
Oh, wait. Those were 11 & 12 year deals.

Hope Hayes has a blast at the all-star weekend! He is having a really great year with his offensive production, and this is nice for his family and getting to share with his nephew too.

I could see it, leaf’s let Hyman go, thought he hit his upside and would not be worth the new contract. With the oil he is doing really well, McDavid effect. I believe with Sanheim skills and the team, you could see something similar. If it happens, we will see heads explode on this blog |

I’m surprised there are not more Flyers trade rumors. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow.

I wouldn't have an issue trading Sanheim for the right price. I'd be shocked that they would do it after signing him to a long term deal, but why not if someone is willing to overpay for his services. |

Didn’t they do the same thing to Carter and Richards…sign to long term deal only to trade them before the NTC kicked in…I don’t like the contract but to ship out a player after seemingly telling him he’s part of the team for the next 8 years doesn’t add up…unless he likes partying to all hours of the night in centre city. |

JVR and McDavid didn't want to participate in the fastest skater competition! JVR really didn't have anything to lose as he is touted as a slow 🐌 skater. |

Never...but this is feltcher. Would you be shocked?
It's unlikely he gets moved but it's always fun to fear the incompetence of the one named Chuck Feltcher |

Nice! They didn't participate in dry Island and then got traded ... isn't rhat the legend and story?
That was how you start a rebuild though. Sell your valuable pieces |

It's good to see. Regardless of what people think about him and his play he has had a rough couple of years with his personal life
I'm happy for him |

Dry Island and the supposed partying by Richards and Carter are one of the more ridiculously over blown lore's in Flyer history.

None of us know what happened but the trades do line up with the stories that have leaked. At the very least it makes you wonder what the truth is, considering that they were shipped out right after. It's fun to watch people discuss the situation |

The truth is pretty simple. Holmgren realized that the team was headed for major cap issues and they didn't have a prospect base. That's why the trades were made.

I'm not sure if it was during the 2010 playoff run or another playoff season but Laviolette asked the players to all agree to not drink and party while the playoffs were ongoing. Richards and Carter, along with a few other players declined. I may have some of the details incorrect but that is the gist of it. |

Watching the skills comp. This is horrible. I like Pat Maroon as a player but FFS why is he involved in this? This is so gimmicky that I can't stand it. It's just a clown show. |
