I'd shocked, blown away if he had a .910% by the end of the year. He's at .889 now. The guy gives up 3 by law every game. Tough to live in that world as we all know. You need to be able to stop 9 out of 10 in the NHL no matter where they come from. We've all backed off killing him because it doesn't accomplish anything, but he's doing the absolute bare minimum at best.

Me too, now it wont recharge and I cracked the screen pretty good 6 months ago...lots of dead spots..makes typing a female dog...more corrections necessary than proper characters typed it seems

Most said he was injury prone and average, and were fine with letting him walk for the price, iirc…

This season is the first season he has been healthy and excellent.

He always had a winning record here and his sv% was always good. His positioning was terrible and he let in a lot of softies.

He is peaking at 29. Right when a goalie tends to reach his prime potential or not. It took 2 years in a system and the best team in the league for him to be what he is this season.

One could argue he would be terrible in our current system and his goaltending coaches in Boston have gotten the best out of him.

Maybe he is the one that got away. I haven’t thought twice about letting him walk.

It was the right choice then.

Not bringing in a legit replacement was the bigger issue, imo.
