last 16 games, gus is putting up points at the rate of 10 points per 82 games

vibes ain't helping him

Hey I am the last person you need to talk about Girgensons to. I would move on from him and Okposo. But not my choice, I would move on Timo and put him on Cozens Wing and drop JJ down.

Guy must be doing something right if he has 100 potential scoring opportunities thru 50 games.

Good post

Also, 0% not 1% chance the Sabres trade for a goalie.
Upl all the way.
Vibey, efficient and part if the future
Crazy that you missed this .....

- Boss34

No arguing Girgs solid possession metrics, but all it does is waste 11:00-14:00 minutes a night. He sucks on the PK as well. $2.2m is about $1.5m too much. All your trolling aside, you know this.

Is UPL your starting Goalie for the next 3 years?
He plays much better in the NHL than AHL I’ll give him that. Let’s see how the rest of the year plays out…IMO he needs to drive his Sv% up to around .910 by the end of the season through having played ~35 gms.

I'd shocked, blown away if he had a .910% by the end of the year. He's at .889 now. The guy gives up 3 by law every game. Tough to live in that world as we all know. You need to be able to stop 9 out of 10 in the NHL no matter where they come from. We've all backed off killing him because it doesn't accomplish anything, but he's doing the absolute bare minimum at best.

If we don't make the playoffs it's because we can't stop the puck. Even in his rookie of the month January UPL only posted a .907%

You've said zero to contradict a word I wrote. What would you like me to continue on to? The guy needs to improve if he's going to hold down an NHL net.

Since Christmas, they (including Cozens) are actually the 4th line at 5v5 based on minutes played per game.

It's imperative to upgrade at least one of Cozens wings before next season.

- kingcong39

I used to just skip right over actual lines, because they change a lot, but Donnie's lines are just locked.

Didn't get much interest in the topic a few days ago, but VO's best play the last 2 years is with Jost or Asplund. Mitts, Krebs, VO didn't work. Mitts, Jost, VO didn't work. Neither did Mitts, Cozens, VO. If you keep VO here, what is the plan? Is Jost part of that plan? Is that going to hold Krebs back?

Cozens deserves better today and they don't really try anything else with him. Leaves me feeling like a lot of these pieces just don't fit well together.

you blaming 6k for the loss to the canes

yes or no

he got shelled and they scored 1 goal

you blaming him when we lost to the wild 3-2 when he stopped 33/35 shots?

"
If we don't make the playoffs it's because we can't stop the puck. "

in 6k's last 5 losses, he is facing 32 shots a game, allowed 15 goals

we scored 7 goals

seems scoring is the bigger issue in those games esp secondary scoring

kid is 13-6-2 and you are expecting hasek in his prime which may give us 10 more points over the course of a year

This post right here is absolutely what's wrong with this forum so much. I've been clear for a long, long time I expect a minimum of a .900% and here you go with poop you pull out of your own ass about expecting Hasek, who you manage to give a vieled insult to because I guess you werent being a big enough douche bag you need to drag down the greatest Sabre of all time too.

So, yeah. UPL a .900 % would be nice and a .910% is impossible by the end of the year IMO. Which, of course is what the original post I was responding to was all about, before you decided to douche your way in.

Come on Hank, let's up the number of posts please, and about the Sabres.

We don't care about ratings or the All-Star game. I hardly come to HockeyBuzz any longer, because it is no longer a fun site for Sabres related content and commentary.

Not to moan, but Garth posted much more frequently, and had some novel takes and trade ideas... Just trying to nudge you in that direction, and fully understand hyou may have competing family requirements on your time.

We really need 285 posts about a failed 1st round draft pick hanging around as a not physical 4th liner who doesnt score either. It's a win/win for content. Less blogs and more Girgs takes in every one of them.

Its been a very long since i last posted, been a regular reader but i just couldn’t let this pass without comment…Canada has in fact been very involved in a few little scraps over the years. I can’t explain or condone training with China but lets get our facts straight.

Nearly 2 million Canadians served, 130,00 died…

I am not a moron, not even Grade A….and i apologize for this not being a hockey comment.

World War I
Aug 4, 1914 - Nov 11, 1918
~650,000 served, ~68,000 died

World War II
Sep 10, 1939 - May 8, 1945
~1 mil served, ~47,000 died

Korean War
Jun 27, 1950 - Jul 27, 1953
26,791 served, 516 died

Persian Gulf War
Nov 29, 1990 - Mar 3, 1991
~4,000 served, 0 died

Afghanistan
Sep 11, 2001 - Jul 1, 2011
~30,000 served, 158 died

Looks like the best Canucks were sent to the Gulf War

Unless you are a power user I would buy the cheapest one you can find and don't bother with warranties. If it breaks, buy another one.

EDIT - Get a screen protector and a quality case (you can't go wrong with Otterbox)

It's UPL's net now. He has to be better than Comrie and hold off Levi.

He's played well enough that they don't need to change plans and make a move.

There isn't anything going on right now so there isn't much to write about. What is wrong with writing about other NHL-related topics?

(Also, based on various comments over the last decade, I don't think this gig pays more than a peanut or two per article)

None of that means UPL is going to all the sudden start posting a .930% to drag his .889 up to .910 by the end of the year. Maybe he gets to .900% by the end of the year, and if he does it means he played around .910 - .915 for the rest of the season. I'd be impressed. And that's where I've been all year for Sabres goalies. Stop 9 out of 10.

Best tablet is always an iPad.

You just want it for the sake of it just get a cheap Samsung. If you use a tablet like a computer, go ipad.

I think the thing that trips people up is that they confuse Okposo and Girgs being on the team this year with them being on the team in future years. They needed to be on the team this year because they are role models for the kids. People then seem to create a straw man situation where they then jump to "well if they are going to be on the team in future years then Adams should be (pick your verb)". Well, now isn't then.
