Nick Schmaltz would fit the bill as a guy who has term that Arizona could be moving for assets.
Not a d-man, but an upgrade to the middle 6 with a reasonable cap hit and signed for another two years after this year. - Swedish_Jesus
How reasonable is an almost $6M cap hit on say the 3rd line?
How much would Arizona want in return for him?
His contract structure is crazy. Check out the real money owed the remaining 3 seasons on his deal.

Unless Arizona comes down from there asking price, that isn't happening. For what it would take to get Chychrun I would rather get Timo. - Buff36
Yeah according to 89 they want savoie.
No thanks |

Nick Schmaltz 5 hits this season
Lawson Crouse 107 hits
I think Crouise would open the ice more for cozens or krebs long term in the middle 6 - homiedclown
Schmaltz has 82 points in his last 82 games.
He’s a good at the hockey thing |

Idk what Arizona would want for him, perhaps they don’t want to move him at all.
I also would slot Schmaltz on the second line and bump one of Quinn/Peterka down a slot.
Just putting a name out there, nothing more nothing less |

Basically, Schmaltz in, one of Peterka or Quinn to the 3rd line, and either Mittelstadt or Olofsson are out? |

Think the Crouse ship sailed when he signed that extension. |

Agree, I mean if you're looking for hits and some physicality go and get Timo, atleast he brings the whole package. I would love to add grit but he needs to be able to play and skate. In 2yrs the Sabres are just gonna steam roll teams with there speed on all 4 lines. Gotta be someone who can skate along with the grit. - Buff36
That a Bingo.
Sure he costs a hell of a lot more, but he adds a hell of a lot more as well, and they have the room to get home, a solid RhD and a Goalie
Good post. |

Aren't Quinn + JJ the 3rd/4th line atm? They are getting the least ice time of all F's recently. |

Mitts can ride the gravy train in the press box, hopefully he would be a piece of the return to Arizona in this make belief scenario |

Maybe you have that guy that can skate with the grit already?
Maybe right underneath your nose? - Boss34
Looking for somebody who can also contribute production wise, not a guy who F’s-up 99 of 100 potential scoring opportunities. |

Guy must be doing something right if he has 100 potential scoring opportunities thru 50 games.
Good post
Also, 0% not 1% chance the Sabres trade for a goalie.
Upl all the way.

I don’t think it’s very funny at all. Finally shot it down off the coast of SC. Got everything they needed and were probably purposely using it as a distraction from what was really going on. You got Iran docking warships in the Panama Canal and two years ago China was conducting military exercises in Canada. Said they wanted Canadian expertise on how to fight in the elements. Yeah right, you’d have to be a grade A no questions asked moron to think the CCP needs to consult a country that has never been in a war on how to fight in the cold. Its been a very long since i last posted, been a regular reader but i just couldn’t let this pass without comment…Canada has in fact been very involved in a few little scraps over the years. I can’t explain or condone training with China but lets get our facts straight.
Nearly 2 million Canadians served, 130,00 died…
I am not a moron, not even Grade A….and i apologize for this not being a hockey comment.

SLATER SCOOP: Former NFL Pro Bowl CB Vontae Davis was arrested for DUI in S. Florida on Saturday.
Davis allegedly crashed into a disabled car on the side of the highway, which then hit a person next to it.
Cops found Davis lying down sleeping on the shoulder of the road.

Aren't Quinn + JJ the 3rd/4th line atm? They are getting the least ice time of all F's recently. - Lunaion
Since Christmas, they (including Cozens) are actually the 4th line at 5v5 based on minutes played per game.
It's imperative to upgrade at least one of Cozens wings before next season.
