I can see Lou holding out on trading him even if he isn’t. In fact I would be shocked if he traded him unless we completely nose dived. If we’re still within reach of the playoffs Horvat is going no where imo.

Bo Horvat said he is not thinking of a contract extension right now. He’ll let agent Pat Morris and Lou Lamoriello deal with that for now. He just wants to start playing hockey for #Isles and get comfortable on the ice.

Is it too early to start reading into everything?

Oh, I think we’ve been reading into this and pretty much everything else for quite some time 😂😂😂

Gotcha. I don’t agree with it in anyway but the only reasons I can see him trading him is what we said and if Horvat’s camp tells him he isn’t signing. I’ll say for me, if he isn’t signed by the end of the allstar break I’m going to start having my doubts

Remember when we were waiting for Boychuck to sign a contact and his brother was dropping hints on Twitter for a month? We were all losing our minds.

Edit; I don’t think you were here yet…

Bo Horvat was asked if he was open to re-signing with #Isles before FA (H/t
@ColbyDGuy
):

"Yeah, of course."

Added that he will let his agent and Lamoriello deal with that. He respects the Islanders organization and has heard great things and is definitely interested.

I know that's the company line but still interesting to say the least.

#Isles Bo Horvat on what he's heard about LI:

"First of all, a lot of people said how much they love Long Island, living there, being there, the fans there [... a lot of the guys have reached out and made it a lot easier." (H/t

Yeah that was pre me being on here but I remember it well. I have no idea where any of this is going at this point (and realize no one odes). I was all into Lou trading assets at the deadline- then he goes and pulls this sh!t. I have to say it’s pretty entertaining. I hope if he does make another move it’s not for Tarasenko. He’s 31 I think and been banged up for a few years now.

Yeah I know he’s been saying all of the right things with whatever I read. I still think he signs but if he holds off a bit to see how it goes with the team and we start tanking all bets are off.

Which I think will hurt his next contract negotiations. I don’t think tarasenko is going to get a huge contract. If we could somehow get him locked up to a semi reasonable term and salary I wouldn’t mind him. Meier is just a pipe dream to me. They both are really I can’t see either happening for multiple reasons.

Building a powerhouse here. All we need is to Trade Lee, Mayfield and Varlamov. Buyout or discard Bailey, Clutterbuck, Martin.

I think I just heard Ses' head explode

"I've always really, really liked Brock's game," Horvat said. "I've talked about his game a lot. Just the way he's able to score a lot of goals, but he's also a 200 foot player that I respect a lot. It's kind of similar style of how I like to play.

I agree. They won't be able to afford Mayfield and after watching him this year I hope they don't have the money for him
- Vukota

To answer your question that you asked in the Canucks blog, Horvat is a powerful skate with speed. Good player, you guys will like him.

I think most got frustrated with him because for a powerful skater and a decent sized guy at 6 foot and about 215 lbs, he wasn't physical, plus the and KS suck and need to make several changes.
Shouldn't be a problem for you guys as you have lots of physical players

Also, Horvat is a good faceoff guy, who wins key draws except against Bergeron and Toews, who seem to have his number.
