Samsonov had a terrible game. He is still 17-6-2 and 15-2-1 at home. He could have exchanged his glove for a fly swatter. Ulmark was excellent and he didn't even have to throw his stick and get away with it. Bruins full value for the win and were the better team. Despite being useless on the ice for most of the game, Simmonds did beat the snot out of Greer.

Sammy was pure elite first 20 mins.

Too bad he was quite the opposite last 40 with a smelly .687

Leafers D has problems .. as most do .. with skilled, big F, you could see it on the cycle last night. Heavy pressure led to sustained chances.

It’s a neat trick for your best F to score a goal and still be -4 …

Bunting has the Kadri sign hung around his neck .. you can see the refs don’t care what happens to him he’s not getting calls. He needs to stop whining and play.

Mean height/weight wise, BOS is less than an inch taller and 3 lbs heavier as of the opening roster in October.

Is that really the difference maker last night? Or was it our backup goalie Samsonov having an off night last night, and giving up 4 soft goals?

Sammy also kept them in the game in the 1st … 3 clear breakdowns led to 1x1’s that he handled - so yeah he had a not great last 40. But Zacha from between the dots untouched that’s never a gimme save.

And outside of bergy every B had a hit …

6 Leafers didn’t hit anything or anyone.. 6 !! That’s not a recipe for playoff success.

Also bolts just 5 back - 4 games in hand - home ice isn’t everything.. but it’s something-

The D wasnt terrible but a couple whiffs by Samsonov and this game could easily have been 2-2 or 3-2 boston. It wasn’t a dominating performance that made me think the bruins were unbeatable in a 7 game series.

Also leafs were missing the best player on either side.

Maybe you should buy a Bruins sweater, would be a lot easier; I don't think Dubas hangs out here anymore, somebody hurt his feelings once too often.

Which team is more likely to win the game?
Team A: .943 save percentage
Team B: .828 save percentage.

No need to overthink this, Samsonov was bad, Ullmark was good and that's the end of the story IMO
Take a rest and come back fresh and bear down for the playoffs.

It was blown coverage not a lack of hits that was the problem (in addition to Sammy losing the thread after the first). The Bruins didn’t outmuscle the Leafs and it all wasn’t in the D. Forwards were missing their guys as well.

Sammy kept the leafs in the game in the first period, the game could have been over then.
However, he pretty much cost them the game in the 3rd.
It happens. What can you do.

I can tell how much you don’t care by the fact that you just going on and on. What makes this so weird is how (frank)ing innocuous my post was in the first place. In fact it wasn’t even a response to you. I was responding to Fake. I said that I thought it was Holmberg’s man and that there’s a tendency to blame Marner and Rielly around here.

And this is my insulting tonality but you call me senile and being in a retirement home or dead? It’s a hockey site. Nobody here knows anyone else and only lunatics threaten to actually fight each other. I’ll post the way I want to post and if it makes you crazy, then that’s just HB Joel.

- Canada Cup

Who's threatening to fight anyone? Talk about lunacy. You were responding to him directly mocking the idea I said it was on Marner, you do this all day every day. Someone says something, you make a snide sarcastic remark implying it was obviously something else. You spend your life invalidating everyone's opinion on here.

I'm going on and on trying to get it into your head to leave my posts the (frank) alone so this isn't a thing anymore, don't think it's an unreasonable request. But you're so (frank)ing arrogant you just can't let a person even have that without driving in you'll do what you want.

Boston plays a smart game

Dump it in, tenderize defensemen and create turnovers

We are unable to play that game with our current forward group
We prefer puck possession, but need to be able to adapt situationally

Too many passengers last night
