I think the Leafs outplayed the Bs for a lot of that game, but Boston is the best in the biz at finishing their chances. Once the Leafs were down 2, they had to get pinchy and desperate and thats when poop deteriorates. I dont blame Sammy too much. He's been overworked and even though some of the goals were from range, they had way too much time and space. Matthews would have helped tonight but even without him they kept their stars in check and thats impressive. I yelled at keefe for having Willy/Marner out there 4 on 4. Why am i smart enough to know thats stupid but not him?

Even then, that's as good as you can hope for. Boston is the best of the best, after all. I think the first period belonged to Toronto and they should have been winning by the end of it. I think it looked worse than it was because they had to play from behind for a lot of the game which i didn't find deserved. Every time they took a step closer theyd shoot themselves in the foot and that's kind of what I've come to expect from them. Oh well. Hopefully this break serves them well and they can come back swinging against some ass teams.

Which of course means they're going to go 3-6-1 in their next 10

Yeah, there’s very little room for error. You can play with them but little mistakes can (frank) you up. Mirtle says Leafs had 68% of the scoring chances and expected goals. I know Sammy was bad in periods 2 and 3 but thst number seems high.

I mean, that's the story of every first round over the last 6 years so I dunno if that's a good thing...

That whole game just felt like a classic Leafs game 7, in the worst way.

Like I said you need help. You clearly have anger management issues. Somehow the phrase list of players we blame set you off. You’ve gone on these nutty (frank)ing tirades, called me senile, said that nobody cares if I die and questioned every aspect of my life.

You don’t know anything about my life or how I spend my time. It’s none of your (frank)ing business. But I’ve never felt the need to be insulting or have to fight someone on here. If if I ever did I’d ask myself serious questions.

- Canada Cup

Nope, never said nobody would care if you died. I said no one here would, because they wouldn't even know. It's hockeybuzz.

You're so out of touch socially it's crazy, you can give me a speech about not knowing anything about you in literally the same breath as teaching me about myself? Rich. You're so arrogant you have no recognition for how insulting your tonality is, consistently talking down to and mocking everyone. You are the common denominator.

I just need you to understand that I don't care about your opinion, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't comment on my opinions indirectly mocking them or not. I go out of my way to not respond to yours, because I have zero respect for you and don't care what you have to say. You can write it off as whatever form of emotion you want as long as you get that point.

I think that number seems right. They dominated 6 for minute stretches then spend 90 seconds in their own zone and get scored on. Or spend 2 solid shift in the Bs zone and let boston score on an odd man rush or quick devensive lapse. Boston probably deserved to win that game but it was close until Toronto had to start gambling.

Closer game than the score indicated, and a couple of blatant missed calls.

Won't be any easy games between these two.

I can tell how much you don’t care by the fact that you just going on and on. What makes this so weird is how (frank)ing innocuous my post was in the first place. In fact it wasn’t even a response to you. I was responding to Fake. I said that I thought it was Holmberg’s man and that there’s a tendency to blame Marner and Rielly around here.

And this is my insulting tonality but you call me senile and being in a retirement home or dead? It’s a hockey site. Nobody here knows anyone else and only lunatics threaten to actually fight each other. I’ll post the way I want to post and if it makes you crazy, then that’s just HB Joel.

Crappy loss tonight. Leaf D is not good enough to win 16 playoff games. Great to see CC called out for his constant condescending BS.

They lose to both of them.

Hedman and Vasilevskiy are two huge advantages, the forwards are a push.

Boston mentally owns the Leafs the way the Leafs owned the Senators.

Leafs need to be 100% healthy and 100% lucky to beat either one of them 4 times out of 7.

I doubt they got what it takes barring some kind of major deadline upgrade.

Samsonov had a terrible game. He is still 17-6-2 and 15-2-1 at home. He could have exchanged his glove for a fly swatter. Ulmark was excellent and he didn't even have to throw his stick and get away with it. Bruins full value for the win and were the better team. Despite being useless on the ice for most of the game, Simmonds did beat the snot out of Greer.
