Once things got tight, they were shown the fine print and have been cut off and these poor saps have to drive all over the region to try to find water to truck back to their homes every week.

That’s because nobody takes them anymore. Too easy to block and guys like Matthews can shot hard and quickly, more accurately without the big windup. There are about half as many clappers as 10-15 years ago. Goalies can read the angle of a slap shop more easily than a wrister

Still think that the Leafs need a horse that is a total package on the back end. Still think that Chychrun is the missing piece and you'd have to move a young asset in Sandin to get him. Having Jacob Chychrun back there gives you a defenseman with size and skill, still young and a good contract for a couple of more years. Having Sandin break out, might get the cost of making that trade more palatable. Probably Robertson and a draft pick, or another prospect gets it done. Arizona needs young bodies to rebuild. Unfortunately Arizona has been a feeder team for the rest of the NHL, living off of revenue sharing for a very long time. Maybe the NHL needs to look at this and start weaning teams like Arizona off of the Revenue sharing tit that it seems to live on. It's a disgrace that it's been like this for 20 years. There are more worthy markets, but Bettman is going to die on this hill, keeping a team in this market on permanent life support.
