I shouldn't stick my nose in, but in this case everything yesterday came from this:
"Actually Holmberg shouldn’t have gone after the puck carrier but he’s not on the official list of guys we blame. Marner and Rielly are at the top of the list."
- Canada Cup in response to fake
"Wouldn't exactly say "we", spending your entire life on here mocking everyone with your snide invalidation BS is a you on an island thing.
You make retirement look awful."
- Joel
One of those started the whole crapfest and it was unnecessary and uncalled for. - Monkeypunk

He’s terrible at 2 on 1’s. But you have to wonder why does he have to face so many of them. |

This team isn't good enough. Not trying to be poopty after a loss but if you really think objectively, they just aren't strong enough; mentally or physically at times. They still Leaf it up every 3rd or 4th game and in a 7 game series that's not good enough. Hasn't worked for 6 years.
If Dubas were to "swing for the fences" this year, go all in, what would that look like?
1 top 6 LW = ?
1 bottom 6 LW = ?
1 top 4 LD = ?
1 top 6 RD = ?
Back up goalie: ???
The obvious pieces currently on the roster to make deals with or empty up space for better players are:
Defense: Sandin, Holl
Forward: Kerfoot, Engvall, Anderson
Sandin, Holl, Kerfoot, Engvall and Anderson = ~$9.5M + $1.6 avail = ~$11M plus Muzzin $4.6m = $15.6M (I think that's the math but TheLaw could confirm)
What does he do to fill those spots and get this team winning in the playoffs?? Does he fill them all, does he lose those players, does he just tweak? |

I wasn't here from about 3pm onwards yesterday and just back read and caught up all I can say about what I've read is
Couple things I'd like to address:
1. CC I don't hate you (I don't even know you) I do hate how you post on here a lot of the time.
2. Drunken Canuck - You can keep your opinions of me to yourself, you don't know anything about why I decided to stop being a mod and regardless of that it gives you no right to insult me.
3. Nice to see the 2 west coast hockey fans just here to talk hockey supporting each other's opinion about how much Luke Schenn will fetch in a trade.
4. I'm not fighting A-aron!
I didn't see the game but there is an awful lot of moaning and groaning in here about that game proving that the Leafs aren't X enough or have enough X to beat the Tampa's and Boston's (X ranging from toughness to willingness to battle to good goaltending etc.).
? - Are any of the people saying that also one's who said they don't care about regular season results only playoff results after the Leafs went on a crazy team record breaking regular season last year and bowing out after the 1st round? I would bet a buck there are some.
No AM34 and from what I'm reading a tired Sammy who had a good 20 and bad 40 minutes = a Leaf Loss. Not shocked to be honest with those 2 factors in play and I"m not going to panic based off of a regular season loss before All Star break but that's just me and just MY OPINION.
I figured since it was so cool and funny here to make sure to over emphasize that something was an opinion I better follow suit. |

The 3rd best team in the league needs 4 or 5 pieces to compete? Give me a break.
