I'm going to predict 10 more goals for Horvat on this team this season. Their playstyle is inherently low scoring

Nothing. It's closer to a niche sport than a national sport. 3 lockouts in 25 years kinda kills your product. Blame the owners.

Yea I remember kinda. He ended up going to back to Anaheim too lol he gave the yotes about 100 pts over 3-4 seasons Selanne, I can’t even count how much he gave the ducks

ESPN+ went from 70 to 100 for the year. I literally only watch the rangers and no other sports. Paying almost 50% more year over year is a crime - so now i watch illegally. There's one fan they lost and i'm sure there are tons more.

I cut the cord about 10 years ago to get rid of overpriced DirecTV which I didn't watch a lot of. Kept it as long as I did for MSG.
Tried to go legit a few years ago with Center Ice, but far too many Rangers games (not to mention Devils as well) were blacked out due to my zip code. If I could watch every NHL game, I'd gladly fork over the $$$.

Buy a smart tv, buy the Disney plus bundle, stream over 1000 games. Very simple. I'm an idiot and I can do it.

I have a Roku and my sister-in-law's Disney bundle. She lives in the mountains in the middle of PA, yet when I log in to ESPN, I can't watch the Rangers games because my IP address is NY metro. Also have Hulu, but there are rarely Rangers games on.

Yeah but isn't it competing with an equally atrocious pro bowl this weekend? Or are they on separate days?

I do think the biggest issue is young people playing the game. Most people simply can't afford to play the game and it's turned into a sport of privilege. Same thing happens when you go to mountains to ski/snowboard.

I played roller hockey as a kid. Our financial instability as a kid for stretches of time is what kept me from advancing and eventually playing ice hockey. It was just impossible.

i don't even understand the appeal of football. you sit on your ass watching commercials 75% of the time. i guess it's better for socializing since "watching the game" barely amounts to watching anything lol

That's what I do a few games a season. My buddy hosts a beer swap and we hang out for a few hours tasting.

NFL has a lot of female fans, but I would say almost all of them are fans because enjoy the party atmosphere of going to a game, or having a football party

its a rarity you are gonna get a female version of TJ who's gonna sit in their drawers from 1pm on a sunday, not shower and then watch all the way until 11pm with no one around.

it may get the interest of the casual fan going though, I have a friend who roots for the Islanders, very lukewarm all year about watching them all year, texted me all excited about Horvat trade, and now cant wait to watch their next game
