I just do not understand how Kravtsov is untouchable, especially considering Othmann is coming along the way - jimbro83
I get your stance and i debated him in my head- I just think his value is so low that its stupid to trade him and he seems to be better than the coach allows him to be. ...and we need RW depth not trade it. If you can get fair value and a RW in return - sure move him.
how that for wishy washy ?

ok, that's just not what I think of when I think of the term untouchable
to me that word means "wouldn't trade any any circumstances"
Kakko, Lafreniere and Kravtsov are all pass first players, all excruciatingly so sometimes, and Kravtsov isn't as talented as the first two

They really should try him with Panarin and Zib, which they haven’t done yet I believe. And base the TDL on the results of those 3 together. Because assuming the kid line stays in tact and Kreider and Trocheck w/ Vesey, that would be 3 lines you can count on and it would allow them to revamp the 4th line and add some depth.
Smaller moves over bigger moves at the TDL, for a couple of reasons.
The fourth line needs to have an effective identity going in to the playoffs. They can be big and strong, fast and irritating, a goal scoring line. Whatever it is, they need to be firmly that identity. And the mixture of guys we have on the fourth right now doesn’t have it.
Panarin already has his chemistry player on the roster and he wears #93. Zib is a notoriously slow starter. He explodes in the second half of the season. Keep Panarin on his wing and they’ll find the magic soon.
Keep as many young guys as possible. Stating the obvious, but it takes time for players to develop. Chytil is a prime example of that. That said, we probably have to lose a guy or two. It is what it is. As long as Laf, Kakko, Othman, Chytil, Miller, and Schneider are still here, we’ve got a really strong core for the future. Krav/Cuylle/Blais ()/Jones/Robertson are parts. Nice parts that I really like and would love to stick around, but not the core.

I don’t think Panarin and Kravtsov works because neither one of them likes to shoot
I hope Othmann just gets here and shoots the puck, because the next few years that’s the kind of kid Panarin needs to play with
i think Drury goes for 3rd pair / depth on D, and one middle six or two bottom six F's. Brooks brings up a point about Lucic. if calgary falls out, maybe he's a good bottom guy/ another is Max Domi. he has skill and can also be nasty in the post season, as we saw last year. motte is an obvious one. another thought would be maybe bringing bakc Vatrano with some cap held .
i would expect kravtsov and Blais gone. i think Leschychyn and guathier make for solid 12/13 f. a 1st round pick will be used as well. but only if we can get a top player. otherwise i dont see it

I don't think ANA would retain cap for 2.5 seasons

If I was a team tanking (which they are) they probably won’t be good for a few years so why wouldn’t they? If any team is in that situation it would only benefit that team by getting an added piece in a deal. Not saying Vatrano specifically would be, but a crap team and their player. You’d only be hurting your own org not doing that. Chances are that team won’t be near the cap ceiling anyway
