agree w/ watching and attending - but the league cant take the "(frank) 'em" view lol

mdw's right on the nose it starts with young kids and yeah watching is great but kids want to play the sport. doesnt help that to even get stick/skates on already sets you back like $250 for the smallest equipment.

It’s definitely an issue that equipment for hockey is expensive, and basketball all you need is a ball for what $30 bucks? sneakers and a park with a hoop

I think most people need to be rooting for a team to watch hockey, while NFL clearly doesn't have that problem

I think that watching NFL games is peak stereotypical American behavior. Get hammered, eat way too much food and sit on your lazy ass watching a game that is slow enough for your drunk/dumb brain to keep up with.

The chief complaint I hear about people watching hockey is that they can't follow the play. A lot of people just don't have the desire or mental capacity to watch such a fast game.

Same. A lot of kids are lazy as (frank) nowadays too. Even if we couldn't afford something we were always having games with other neighborhood kids. They are all buried in their phones twatting

its a rarity you are gonna get a female version of TJ who's gonna sit in their drawers from 1pm on a sunday, not shower and then watch all the way until 11pm with no one around.

I was never fat but started to get lazy, stopped smoking pot and wasn't lazy anymore

That's what I did. Finally caved and did it because the daughter can at least use Disney + and we already had Hulu. Ended up being a OKish deal.

But now I have cable TV, Hulu/Disney/ESPN, Netflix, Amazon etc.
