I should have realized that - I work with a bunch of people in Ottawa. It is no fun up there.

My wife's from Halifax, but her mom's family is out in Miramichi. The first time I visited, they had these overly high street signs by fire hydrants with a sign and a down arrow that said, "Fire Hydrant". At first I thought it was funny and educational - like they had to tell people what it was - until I realized the purpose and reason the sign was so high was because that's how high the snow got.

People say Canadians are resilient, but when I look at our weather, I tend to think our ancestors were just too lazy to keep migrating somewhere warm.

If I had to do it all over again, I could see my self living in the Portland, Maine area.
Been there several times in the summer.

It's quiet and would get a small taste of winter without the really cold days.

Never happen most likely. We get the Sens and Habs in N.B., but I have to buy the CI package to get all of the Leaf games.

On the other hand I do watch a lot of the eastern teams when they Leafs are off. Boston and the Bolts mostly.
