Thought it was Ty Raty when I first saw it. But, not even sure how he's doing, so there's that
- Leafsmart

Ty Rattie is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing for Linköping HC of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).

Oddly enough, airplanes are the only places I don’t like to drink.

I always feel sick afterwards.

Everyone left this morning at 8 am.

My goal was to be on the hill by 10 am.

Had breakfast, went back to bed. Pushed goal to noon.

At noon, threw in towel. New goal was to walk around town at 2 pm.

I’m still in bed.

It’s a crazy feeling - like having a bad cold, but no coughing, sneezing or puking.

Best get your doctor to check you out man. Seriously.

agreed. he just gets tossed into every bad trade offer generated here. swiss army knife nice to have
- drexel

There’s 3.5 million reasons he gets tossed into trade ideas. Leafs don’t have a lot of room and need to upgrade. They also have a Swedish army knife that cost $2.1M.

I agree there’s no reason to look to trade Kerfoot but if you need to make the $ work to bring the right guy(s) in, you trade him faster than you can say Harvard

Cant see Kyle moving Kerfoot. Hes our current Krushelnyski.

Need guys like that for a deep playoff run.

He reminds me more of Kent Manderson. I always waited for that guy to bust out.

I think it blows up in Lou's face if they miss playoffs and he walks. If he resigns it's a good deal. If they make the playoffs and they do some damage, okay deal. If they miss and he flips him at the deadline for a similar package or 75% of what he gave up, decent deal.

What if beau keeps sucking at his 4.4M cap hit(very likely), Raty is just a bottom 6 forward and the 1st turns out to be meh?

Gotta assume that Bo was clear that he wasn’t going to commit to a deal with a new team upfront or the Canucks would have given permission to talk to his agent. It suggests to teams that he might be determined to go to market which lowers what the Canucks can expect to get in return. It’s a weird trade for the Isles who really should be thinking about a rebuild.

it would be considered an okay deal. Means they didn't lose him for nothing but didn't hit any homeruns. Depends on what "meh" with a first round pick turns out to be.

All good, you just combined Kent Manderville and Rob Pearson into one giant bust.

I am just saying nothing is guaranteed.

The Islanders making making a run or any of those players becoming anything good. There were no high end prospects or players dealt to Vancouver.

They dumped a bad contract, gave up an okay prospect and then dealt away a valuable asset in their 1st but retained a high end player.

One thing is for sure is this Isles core is aging and is not looking to project well in the next 5 years, try and win now or blow it up.

They have a direction, unlike Vancouver.

the pick is top 12 protected.
so pick 13 to 16 if the isles don't make the playoffs.

Man, if the leafs wanted horvat they could have done this deal. This is like Engvall, protected first, Hirvonen. I think everyone here thought it would be way more expensive.

As fans we suck at rating what it costs in trades

Well Isles pick is mid range likely and leafs is late 1st.

But yeah likely a meh return for VAN.

Wouldn't be shocked if Lou got more for him if he trades him at the TDL

We can question the value of the pick and the prospect that Vancouver got and we can question the value of two months of Horvat and whether it gets NYI into the playoffs. At best it gets them a short series against Boston because I don’t see them getting beyond last last wildcard.

So the issue of who shows better direction is open for me. IMHO, both teams need to rebuild and, at worst, the Canucks got some mediocre assets to assist in that process.
