If I’m Fletcher, my complete and total focus would be trading all expiring contracts starting with James van Riemsdyk. All other deals such as Ivan Provorov and Travis Konency should probably revisit in the off-season. Trading good young players on pretty reasonable contracts should be handled carefully. Deadline deals feel sort of rushed. The only exception I’d say is Scott Laughton who is probably the best bargain in our line up.

I look at the deals made last summer and I do wonder if we should have been in on them or why we weren’t, even as a rebuilding team. I would have given up anyone of Joel Farabee or Travis Konency for Matthew Tkachuk. Johnny Gaudreau on a bad team is killing it. Anyone who doesn’t want Johnny Hockey, I understand but Matthew Tkachuk I’ve always liked and would take ahead of anything we have.

And trading TK or Provy is certainly not a tough task coming from Fletchers standpoint at the deadline. He has the luxury of just saying no and moving him in the summer, you 100% take the calls and listen. He holds all the cards on those two come deadline

The refs didn't influence the game. On the Smith catch, it looked like a good catch on the field. The Eagles were smart enough to hurry up and run a play before the replay could be looked at. That's the game.

If I'm a 49ers fan, I wouldn't be happy with the coaching staff. They opened up the game trying to block Hassan RedRichard with a tight end. Didn't work out so well.
