We call our house the onion house. It has layers of finishes that is always so much fun to remove. I think there were three layers of linoleum covered with one layer of stick vinyl tiles in my upstairs bathroom.

That was my 1st house. First reno I ever tried was the bathroom floor. Got the toilet out and discovered there were 3 layers of linoleum!! Stuff came up in 0.3 sq.in. pieces!!! Toilet was sitting in the living room for 3 days in a one bathroom house!

Digging that too. I can see how it is based on a video game.

The scene in the first episode when they’re driving from their house and into the city is almost shot for shot from the game. They nailed it

Some of the sticky tiles can look very decent. It's a good cheap stop gap before doing something nicer.

Been happy with them. Nice neutral gray marble. Hell of a lot better than what we covered up.

Thankfully they didn't glue the first layer down in mine. It had some kind of paper under it or maybe the adhesive dried up. All I know is that the subfloor was fine and good to use as is.

I will need to remove the crappy wood floor in our stair landing area outside the bathroom. It makes the landing higher than the surrounding flooring and it looks like poop (currently covered with vinyl tiles).

Tile can be hard. I've done it a few times with success. This bathroom I will be doing waterproof vinyl plank flooring. Should be much easier to install.
- JRR1285

This flooring guy laughed at me. I said I thought I could manage because the bathroom was only like 10 sq. feet. He said that makes it way harder. There are only like 6 tiles that didn't need to be cut!

I'm using something like that in two areas of my house. Waiting for the surrounding floors to be redone.

It’s better when you two don’t talk directly to each other. But then again, it’s better than whatever the (frank) happened here the last 24 hours

Yeah I watched guy once cut tile online for a bathroom remodel because I was thinking about it. I was like, that sucks. It's cuts on angle that have to be perfect.

You have to get into it and start to develop your own technique. Youtube can be really helpful too with tricks etc.
