Hey, you gotta start somewhere. Being a homeowner has forced me to learn a lot of skills.

I tied all of the upstairs plumbing into my drain stack over the weekend. Bonus, the pvc cement makes you high AF.

I thought, "eh I'll save some money and just have the floor guys clean it and stain it. How hard could this be?" Not hard, but time consuming. Took me 2 full 12 hours days. I lost count at 16,482 staples.

Pretty accurate for a lot of home projects. The driver for me is that I don't trust anyone to do it right and where we live they charge way too much to do this type of work.

Even if you don't end up doing the work it is best to at least become knowledgeable on what others are doing for you. Avoids getting raked over the coals sometimes.

That's for sure! Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, etc. Only thing I didn't do was install my new boiler. Left that to the pros.

Jesus get him started with the no shoes thing. It just snowballed from there.

Yeah, that's super annoying. I refinished my living room floor when my wife and kid were visiting her sister for a few days. Fun times.

I just watched that movie “the menu” last night. So delightfully weird and (frank)ed up. Highly recommend. It takes about 30-45 minutes before something happens that changes the whole tone

Yeah, that's super annoying. I refinished my living room floor when my wife and kid were visiting her sister for a few days. Fun times.

We call our house the onion house. It has layers of finishes that is always so much fun to remove. I think there were three layers of linoleum covered with one layer of stick vinyl tiles in my upstairs bathroom.
