Can anyone think of a player that was said to maybe "just need a change of scenery" and actually turned things around and was a real bright spot for their new team? Just curious, 'cause I can't, off the top of my head. - Tonybere
Derrick Brassard and Mika Zibanejad. |

Derrick Brassard and Mika Zibanejad. - tomburton99
Assuming this was at least partially facetious. The other examples given, maybe. But, I'd argue that Brass never really experienced any renaissance. And Mika had some pretty decent numbers for his level of experience in Ottawa. Still not able to make any real sense out of that trade. |

You want more? You gotta play them more. 202 minutes played together vs. the Matthews line which played 323 minutes. Imagine you play that line on the PP with the current success theyve had together. - aecliptic
well what you gotta do is play them with Fox
giving them more powerplay time is a waste of time if Trouba is their PP quarterback and not Fox

yep, but I want more
I expect them to come back from this break blazing, shooting the puck and finishing
enough with the overpassing trying to make the perfect play - jimbro83
One thing I love about Chytil, he will shoot from anywhere. Dude constantly banging his stick cause he wants the puck. Need more players like that |

I was talking Brassard from Columbus to NY and Zib from Ottawa to NY. |

I'm not sure I have ever seen that before from a Rangers player. |

That’s we need tho. Panarin needs a guy, Strome left and we haven’t found one yet.
I’d still consider making a trade like TB does. Sell futures for a cheaper guy in a great deal that we can use for a couple years. Hagel was a gem in this case, finding the next Hagel would be fine by me. - Slimtj100
Your $11 million player shouldn’t “need a guy”. |

I just think Zib in Ottawa was young and lazy. So i kind of agree with you, but I think his was more growing up. Regardless it was easily one of the best trades ever. |

JT Miller, Nichuskin, Ryan Strome, Klim Kostin, there’s tons. Dylan Strome going from AZ to CHI, etc |

Why are we moving Chytil to wing when he's a center? - tomburton99

Well, they signed a player to center the 2nd line who clearly is a bit out of his element playing with Panarin. Panarin has played with probably, if not more than, half a dozen different RWs this year.
It may not occur to us, but they've been essentially using Panarin as the line they experiment with.
Panarin with Ziba has been a fairly brief thing, Id give it a minute to sort itself out.

It’s not like he’s on a line with Ryan Carpenter and Sammy Blais. He’s with Zib and either Kreider or Vesey. He should be able to figure that out. |

No one has replaced Strome with him yet tho, and it’s 50 games into the season
But let’s just be mad at him that will solve it |

Who’s mad at him? He’s getting paid $11 million a year, he needs to play like it. I’d say his play is more of a continuation of last post season more than not having Strome. |
