You need that shiny flashy big name player every time.
Don't blame you, don't think it happens this season. Price for Tarasenko just went up.

they don't always have two first round picks to play with though

I'm just happy the potential Patrick Kane move will be criticized now. No matter the outcome. What a day for me, eh?

That’s we need tho. Panarin needs a guy, Strome left and we haven’t found one yet.

I’d still consider making a trade like TB does. Sell futures for a cheaper guy in a great deal that we can use for a couple years. Hagel was a gem in this case, finding the next Hagel would be fine by me.

And they did the same with Coleman and Goodrow leading to the two Cups.

Yep. Idk who’s someone we could get like that tho. I know Duclair I brought up but he has injury concerns as well. At least two playoffs with him tho, for instance. It’s gotta be someone 3 mill max I’d think tho. In order to keep the Fils, Keys, Lafs, etc of the team

Problem is most teams with players like that are in the thick of the playoff race.

CF has both wings listed for him. I don’t think that would be an issue with him. Like not looking like Kreider on Rw for example

The major issue with JVR is his contract. Philly with most certainly have to eat 50% and that still leaves 3.5m on the cap.

Also given his size, hes not an overly physical player.

At the trade deadline, if done then, the cap hit would be closer to about 2.75 (or a shade under 3M. Get Philly to eat half and it's 1.5 or less.

Get another guy that's not afraid to screen goalies, get tips, and score rebound/garbage goals...it's exactly what you need in the playoffs. Vatrano, Copp, Braun...all three not overly physical and they worked out fairly well last year.

JVR seems like that guy whos come to the point in his career that we could resign him for very little, especially to play for his childhood favorite team.

I could see ROR too. Don’t freak! Move Chytil to Panarins RW.

I wonder if there's a playoff team up against it that we can pick off a winger from like we did with vatrano last year

You don’t like ROR?

Chytil is a sniper as we see now. That would help Panarin imo. Breaking up the kids is hard I get it. But maybe ROR or a vet like him could unleash the prized possessions we have too.
