Coaches of top teams in the league such as Boston, Colorado, Carolina, Vegas all use analytics. I guess they don't know as much as Tortorella does.

Doesn't need to be put out to pasture. He is still good as a coach for situations like this. To take a team that is playing dysfunctionally and straighten out their team game. He's basically doing what Yeo should have done last season. Tortorella is basically at this point, a high end interim coach. If the Flyers ever get high end talent and want to win the Cup, they're going to need a different coach.
