Why wouldn't okposo take that type of deal?

The open market bidding war takes girgs over 3 million per year. He settles for a bargain hometown discount around 2.8.

What evidence do you have of girgensons not being at the top of the ufa list?
KA certainly felt comfortable giving him a team friendly deal , similar to tage and samuelsson.

I'm still using the 4th line in a traditional checking role.

The pipelines there to replace olofsson, mitts and maybe one of okposo/ girgensons. (Eventually)
Sabres slow role these prospects. All they bring is offense for the most part.

Donnie loves the KOG line, why would they start every game? 30 games later there gonna be fired?
