Agreed. But somehow Skinner is always there.. must be a pouty boy when not playing on PP1
- DirtyDan

he is yes

at least he used to be.

When he wasn't getting the minutes the effort level used to drop substantially.

UPL wins January rookie of the month.

How many people here were throwing him in the trash?

I got bashed for not attacking a rookie goalie. Makes sense. Its hockeybuzz

- sabresfan69

Honestly. I thought he was a bust 2 months ago

He still has a long way to go positioning wise and reading the play wise

But he’s been better for about a month now.

UPL is only a rookie. Its extraordinary cases to step into the NHL as a rookie goalie and excel.

Ryan Miller save percentage after 3 games in the 03-04 season was .795 he played most of the year in Rochester.

In the playoffs for Rochester Ryan Miller had an .856 save percentage in 2003

Ryan Miller was 24 when he became a starter for the Sabres. 6 years after he was drafted. UPL is 23.

Imagine people throwing away Ryan Miller? This is the mentality of some of the people here.

That wasn't meant to diminish his skill. It isn't like we are putting out Girgs to play PP1. I don't know if he is an upgrade over Olo or Cozens in that slot. I do know that his absence would really hurt PP2.
- Slump Buster

It's not like any of these moves have to be permanent. I think it's something they'll try at some point.

Lot of PP talent coming up too.

Crazy how we have 4 solid rookies.

Upl, peterka , quinn and power.

This might be the best collection of rookies in years.
Maybe the 80's oliers 🤔

He's really good. A 200' player, too. Heck of penalty killer. Underrated IMO.

I’m good with Olofsson on the right flank of PP1 with teams cheating to Tage’s side.

Cozens should be in the bumper or high slot though over Skinner.

🤷🏻‍♂️

- Swedish_Jesus

Teams also cheat over to olofsson side when. He is on pp1 on the last game

That's always my first reaction as well. But then you have to think if any of the prospects could realistically be as good as Meier.

A little bit of talk about the Bally sports bankruptcy. This could have some cap ramifications.

It might. I read yesterday that tv ratings are way down - I would think that would have a bigger impact.

All i can say is people are missing out. The last two years I've never watched more hockey and never been happier with the on ice product.
