The 'facts' don't oppose my opinion either. Paying your 4th line wingers 8.8m is embarrassing enough. Everyone knew they were just going to play them.

Notice how you never mention their play as deserving of full-time lineup spots?

We both know okposos contract is terrible, but were talking about the future.

He's gonna get krejci or Bergeron money or retire.
1 - 1.5 million

Girgs is a bargain at anything under 3 a year.
Solid deal at 2.5 x 3.

The team is winning with both players leading the way.

They absolutely deserve full time positions, were 1 point out of a playoff spot.

8 year two-way deal would be good fun. Retire his number in Batavia, half-way between Buff and Roch.

What did Elliot Friedman say about the Sabres.

I tried to find the tweet and couldn’t find what was said

20 minutes later and didn’t follow the person

**Friedman said he thinks Eichel is mad the Sabres are doing so well

Girgs strikes me as a guy that plays into his late 30's and accepts a leadership role in Rochester around 38.

He did play there , until he forced his way into the lineup

Did I say three firsts let alone three top 10 picks (where the ... did that come from)? Did the author suggest that? Even if the author did, which I did not check, I said that his proposals were weirdly giving the Sharks more than they were asking for. I also said that no one knows what it will take, especially from the seller's perspective, but that his proposals were more in line with what they are looking for. Still, more than I would generally offer. But some of the offers I have seen on this blog, like for a prospect and two seconds, seem no where near what they are looking for. So to me they are rediculous.

That's going to be rough for you. You still won't be allowed to mention him.

Plus that cap space gets eaten up very quickly with Cozens needing a new contract this summer and Dahlin, Joker, UPL and Mittelstadt needing them next summer.

Not really an issue for the next 4 years.

?

You guys have the basically same amount of Cap space next season Carolina does but way more players that need raises.

It depends what a few of those extensions look like. They have the benefit of a number of 1st rounders coming up on ELC's and it's assumed that they'll move on from at least a couple players.

They do have to be smart to avoid problems.

Lock up
Cozens @ 8 x $7M - $8M
Dahlin @ 8 x $10.5M (starts '24-'25)

Bridge
Power @ 3 x $6.5M (starts '24-'25)
UPL @ 2 x $3.5M

Sign
Jost @ 2 x $2.25M
Asplund 2 x 1.15M

Move on From
Okposo
Girgs

Trade
1) Mitts or Olofsson, Rosen, Pick
for
Meier

Still need to figure out 2RhD position IMO. Use Joker/Bryson, and other of Mitts/Olo + as needed

Looks like a certain center from the Golden Knights will be filling an injury vacancy at the All Star Game

I thought we agreed on roughly 6 million for the 4th line.

I recently realized guys like Bergeron and kragji were making 1 to 1.5 million.

I just shuffled the deck and worked some new numbers out.

Kyle 1.25
Girgs 2.75
Krebs 850,000

I'm 1,150,000 under budget. I'm not patting myself on the back, it's just a simple formula 😉

cat got what, a 1st, 2nd and third?

timo meier
445 games played, 151 goas 312 points

sam reinhart when traded for a late 1st and prospect
454 games played 134 goals 295 points

given the extra time meier would play for the remainder of this season, an extra second is about what should be needed

savorie, quinn and a first is never gonna happen

You had me at "certain center" 😀😀

That's gotta hurt.

Seriously, how long before vegas moves on from eichel?

I bet that's getting old really quick.
Missing the playoffs last year for the 1st time
Eichel comes back and they start losing again.

Levi
Pick 28
2nd

Sam + a 2nd seems accurate. Getting the playoff run this year.

Doesnt the pending contract jump come into play,?

Go get Timo, throw in a bit extra and see if Benning can be included and kill 2 birds with one stone.
Skinner Tage Tuch
Timo Cozens Quinn
Mitts Jost Olofsson
Girgensons Krebs Okposo
JJ rotated in for now.
Samuelsson Dahlin
Power Benning
Lyubushkin Joker

that's why I think Ostlund( a mid first round pick), our second and the flyers 2nd is more than enough for meier

if we can't extend him next year, can always flip him for a first rd at deadline next year if things go bad

Peterka is on a 35 point type pace this season
Would it be ridiculous to expect 50 next season?

Not sure if your getting the value out of meier.
JJ on a minimum contract at under a million 50 points
Meier at 10 million maybe 80 points.

It's a go for it move. I respect that.

Seems very unkyvyn

That's very reasonable. Maybe we can get thirtysixensons to get a san Jose poster to put a rubber stamp on the deal.

Pick 28 kulich is probably more valuable then pick 16 ostlund?
