He didn't 'pull out last minute' he was hurt and couldn't go, in fact in the post game presser Keefe was asked if Sammy had been hurt in the game if Murray would have come in and Keeefe said no.

I know that doesn't suit your narrative of him being a quitter but it's the truth.

With Keefe saying Murray wouldn't have been able to play if Sammy was hurt during the game (dressing him and having him sit on the bench was some serious gamesmen ship) knowing we may have seen the E-Bug maybe Keefe should have told Sammy to 'be hurt' after it because clear the Leafs were not going to come back to let him rest up a bit.

I wonder if the Leafs are scrambling to get Woll on a flight today back to Toronto from Manitoba (where the Marlies are currently as they play tomorrow) to call him up.

I hope so and I'd actually like to see him play vs Washington and Sammy get some rest and play vs Boston (unless they just go Sammy for both which I'm also fine with).

I do want to see Woll get an NHL start - he's been lights out in the AHL this year.

Wonder if Detroit would trade Kubalik? Retain salary and he's already cheap. Signed for another year. Would give some more oomph to the 3rd line

I know its been only one game with Matthews being out, but so far it shows some what of a need for another center come trade deadline. If one of Matthews or JT go down there really isn't a good replacement on the roster at the moment IMO.

I wonder if he has been kicking the Bo idea around ... seeing if he could make that work instead. Adding him to the top 6 would make a difference.

I concur that the Leafs do need another C someone like ROR, Henrique or Horvat but the cost will be great to acquire one those players
