Some may not like it but I think there is a legitimate chance he is looking at Garland. Has in the past.

Canucks buyout is 1.8M for 3-4 years and 800K next year.

1.5-2M retained and leafs give them an asset.

Seems to me this is Jarnkrok redux... not a needle mover.. just swapping parts.

I'd be more interested in seeing what he does in net. If Murray is gonna do this routine .. and leave the squad hanging.. they need a better backup option than Woll.. I'm thinking Stolli the goalie.

You get Garland at 3.5M and come out of it only losing a mid round pick and a project prospect you still have that draft and prospect capital to go out and get another good player.

I'd presume that to mean Sammy goes tomorrow.

Highly highly doubt Dubas trades Knies for a rental.

If he’s injured, he’s injured. The report is that he’s out through the break and someone will be called up. Not cleared if it is someone who will actually play since it’s Washington tomorrow (Sammy will want that one) and Boston after that which is probably too much for Woll.

Agree and sending Murray to Robidas Island not a bad thing is it? Leafs can go full Tampa Bay Cheat mode.

I know its been only one game with Matthews being out, but so far it shows some what of a need for another center come trade deadline. If one of Matthews or JT go down there really isn't a good replacement on the roster at the moment IMO.
