I just wish hextall did SOMETHING. I knew we were warned he does nothing but I wasn’t prepared for this level of inaction.

I knew he was an awful hire, but there's almost zero moves available to him. No cap space and all the good pieces have NTC or NMC. Even if he wanted to move picks (he won't), we'd have to over-pay to move a bad contract.

He’s also the one that gave out 4 of those terrible contracts (Carter, Kap, McGinn and Rutta).

Giving Carter and Kap an extra year is really hurting their situation for next season too, fingers crossed Carter retires.

Embarassing loss. Salary caps so tight for most teams that it needs to be salary in salary out. Trade some combo of dumo Carter kap whatever cap dump possible for a cap dump like bobrovsky and Bennett. Picks to Pens for taking Bob's gawd awful contract. Play the young guys as depth. Likely better goalie options out there but just an idea

Rust isn't looking too hot either. He looks 35 not 30. Sullivan has to ping pong Rakell between the top two lines 'cause Rust is a no show most nights.

He should be fired for Carter and Kap. It's like the JJ contract, the entire hockey world knew those were terrible deals the minute they were announced. Nonsensical waste of precious cap space. Could have had a good player instead of two bad ones.

A lot of players fall off a cliff at 30. Very few can play at a high level after that. They should have moved on from him.

I wish Archibald would show O’Connor how to hit through guys. He has a great body type to potentially be a force but his testicular fortitude needs adjustment.
