And just who do you suggest?

And just what do you suggest the Leafs give up to get him?

There really are no power forwards in the league right now - maybe Tkachuk?

It's a salary cap world. It's easy to point out what the Leafs still lack. It's much harder to come up with a realistic solution that plugs a hole, without opening up another one.

- Atomic Wedgie

It's not easy. It's why these guys make big cake. Masai took a big swing after it was clear his team was stagnant. Perhaps the view is the Leafs are still building, improving. You can make that case for sure, and I can accept it. But...show me some (frank)ing results this spring.

We need to stop comparing basketball to hockey, its not the same.

FLA and CGY are doing crappy after their major swings.

CGY got forced into a move, plus they lost Gaudreau. Tkaczuk has been good in FLA. The people who were already there have been poope.

I agree. The impact of a star player in basketball is much higher since he plays more than half the game on a 10 players roster.

And as we see with so many UFAs, it's not true that great players are a great fit everywhere or will instantly play just as good in a new environement.

Matthew Tkachuk is playing great in Florida but losing Weegar killed their defense.

Huberdeau is not looking good in Calgary, maybe he'll work it out, maybe a new coach would suit him better.... or it'll become a massive mess for them.

Thanks for the chuckle. Keep hurling those insults and calling me names I love it!

Back when I was a Mod I did so in a manner that most folks told me was fair and reasonable. I get that your upset because when I did moderate at times it resulted in you being told to play by the rules and perhaps you being banned for not doing so. It hurts when people won't let you do and say whatever you want eh?

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww show Carol where the big bad former mod hurt you - poor troll!!!!!

As far as me resigning a a mod, it was my decision based on the amount of time and effort involved and quite honestly I was tired of dealing with people who come here and do nothing but stir up poop like you.

If you like to dream that it was all because I was 'held to account' to feel better have at it.

Jacinda? That's weak sauce, get your own material.

- Cush29

Your use of emoticons is embarrassing. Are you twelve? Because you act like it.

Why do you keep insulting Carol?

I’m not upset at all, it’s crystal clear who is.

Weak sauce? No, it just flew over your head, as usual.

Yawn to the rest, like most others I’m not interested in your run-on rants.

I doubt Vancouver goes for it.

Goldberg isn't looking too great this days.

Try this again. Schenn for Holmslice and a pick.

We need to get way worse, Luke the Nuke is holding that up.

If the softest team is 2nd overall, the league must suck. Just like the Canadian division.

Have you tried magnesium or breathing meditation for insomnia.

- Zezel

2nd in the league, which is not 1st.

Imagine if they had some bite to go along with the awesome 2nd place talent, maybe, just maybe, they'd be 1st in the league and ready to destroy opponents in the playoffs. We all know the type of hockey in the playoffs is very different.

I prefer 1st in the League at the end of the playoffs. Call me old fashion, like 1967 old fashion.

Florida added bite to their 1st place team and dropped to out of playoff contention.

Canucks just resigned Kuzmenko.

I like the deal but it just shows they won't commit to truly rebuild no?

Underlying numbers are good while everyone else on that team is bad...always makes you wonder.

I don't watch the Ducks at all or follow them.

But LW/C. on pace for 60 points last year and 55 this year.

Ducks said they were willing to take money back in the offseason.
