Getting your teammate tossed in the first period of a playoff game because you turtle instead of answering for targeting the other teams stars is indeed a terrible thing.

I do remember that now. Boyle got The sens to change their whole lineup and go after him and the rangers won the game and series correct? Still not really seeing the downside to getting Matt Carkner drawn into the lineup of a playoff series to get tossed right away and force the sens to play with 5 d. Pretty sure rags won both the game and the series. Could be wrong though.

Yikes. This was an important game, more so for the Caps, but an important one for Pens also. They're lucky they got a point. DeSmith dID his part but the skaters didn't....so is it going to be one or the other or can they have good goaltending and skaters all at once in same game? Haha

I have said I am willing to give it a few games with some pieces back and I will stick to that. Towards the beginning of season, when they were still picking up points but looking sloppy and what not, I said I believed they could tighten up their game and they did going 15-3-2. I think they can tighten up the on-ice product again and will....and if they dont, no playoffs. Cant be allowing 40+ shots against a game haha...especially with Jarry out. Again, CDS was great last night but he won't be consistently solid.

hahaha its not looking all that promising...usually...unless its a game like vs the Devils, where it looks very promising haha....and I think even in those 39+ SA games you mention for the majority of them the Pens had the higher xGF and HDSC%.

Their giveaway/turnover numbers are insane hahaha...so high. This is the slop. This obviously leads to more shots against. I do think they will tighten up their game and perhaps this very long break coming up is a good thing. Get back to practicing a lot...down to the x's and o's. Get rest and get healthy for the final push.
