Torts can’t keep going to the same 4 defensemen, especially when one isn’t giving you exactly what you need in important situations. I think we see too much of DeAngelo pre game.

I don’t have an issue with our current pairs. My problem is who is used and how.

DeAngelo shouldn’t be on the PK. DeAngelo shouldn’t be closing out games. I believe Seeler seeing PK time is a fairly recent thing. I’m fine with York being on the top pair but when we’re trying to hold a lead, York needs to be one of those guys out there defending. He needs to see the toughest of situations.

That was a terrible no call to decide the game.

I like Risto but he’s not gonna be the straw that stirs the drink in a top four pair role and I haven’t seen enough of York in tough situations to say he could be that guy for Risto.

No but the coaching staff is very happy with his play of late. I like that a kid like York is going to have 23 minutes + …. Guess starting the year in the AHL didn’t ruin his career..

Good game, tough break in OT. In the end a good (not perfect) result, I was entertained and the Flyers only got one point.

I have to see it again but I think DeAngelo tried to embellish the trip and maybe that is why it was not called.

Refs saw his embellishment, and at the same time laughed at his lackluster defending.

Not that I am upset they lost. I have no interest in playing BOS Rd 1, but if you go with 2 Dmen to start the OT, why you don't put out your first pair D against Kopitar. Peculiar.

Seems to be a real shortage of qualified refs out there. Who is number 31? Is he blind or just stupid? A missed tripping call leading to a winning goal.

If Risto was playing OT instead of Sanheim, he would have buried that pass from DeAngelo and the the Flyers would have won the game! How can Torts not play his best defenseman in OT?

I doubt it. It was a great save and Risto isn’t left handed.

Angelo definitely embellished/dove. Play through it man. Blaming the refs is for losers.

Only saw a little of the game. Somehow saw the Kings score three times though. Hopefully TK heats back up.
