Haven’t seen much of 45 on the PK but Torts has been using Seeler short handed. Did Seeler finally replace DeAngelo?

That was a horrible turnover.

He is from the same vein as Mark Straight, Ghost, and Yandle.

The Flyers don't have anyone that can realistically move up.

Well, I guess the team is getting to the point since there are no real solutions including DeAngelo. His -17 and whatever other stats one can use is getting to the point where why not someone other then DeAngelo and just see what happens.

Frost is an AHL player so he needs some luck. Frost isn't one of the best players at his position like Ristolainen is.

I got it a long time. Unfortunately, those comments I made aren't a joke. It's representative of your past opinions.

lucky play, Frost was lucky the puck landed on Risto's stick, who clearly knew what to do with it!
- jd250

It’s just the most ridiculous thing. The guy sees zero PP time and sees very little offensive situations. He’s finally warming up and gets zero credit. Don’t even waste your breath. Risto is playing well, he’s finally heating up and the haters still too stubborn to say “good job”. That sounds like a personal problem to me.

The Risto of the past 14 games (small sample but current) has been better defensively 5 on 5 and on the PK than DeAngelo so I think it makes the most sense to give Risto the opportunity in the top 4. DeAngelo is better on the PP than anyone else so he gets some extra minutes there.

Yes, I agree that they should try things this season and not just dismiss them with taking a look.

We've seen Ristolainen in the top 4 and what you get with that. I feel sorry for Sanheim.

DeAngelo (currently) is not a better partner. I can’t understand why a Provy-Sanheim pair is such a no no.

Probably because anything behind that pair is pretty weak.

Yet we also don’t see York-Risto, so do we really know that?

Would obviously be their best pairing but then what below them? Complete disaster. Good for the tank crowd.

I like Risto but he’s not gonna be the straw that stirs the drink in a top four pair role and I haven’t seen enough of York in tough situations to say he could be that guy for Risto.

My opinion, is that it’s time to see it. It is not like throwing York into the deep end more than now. He plays on the top pair 5 on 5 now. Not going to really know until you try it.

Any shots in the third? Kings just keep bulldoZing over torts passive approach.

Here are the facts for the game so far. He made a really nice play on the goal. Love the aggressiveness but that is always something that Ristolainen has done in the past. As far as the rest, not so good. To this point in the game for Ristolainen. CF% 25. Your favorite xGF% 38.96. SCF% 27.27. HDCF% 33.33. It's not hate, it's reality.

Another proof on Angelo's liability on the ice. Just luck Kings didn't score.

I don’t have an issue with our current pairs. My problem is who is used and how.

DeAngelo shouldn’t be on the PK. DeAngelo shouldn’t be closing out games. I believe Seeler seeing PK time is a fairly recent thing. I’m fine with York being on the top pair but when we’re trying to hold a lead, York needs to be one of those guys out there defending. He needs to see the toughest of situations.

The Flyers are getting dominated at 5 on 5. They have one line playing decently. The Cates line has not even attempted a shot in the game to this point.

Where the (frank) are you getting these numbers and why are you paying so close attention to them? I couldn’t imagine being so obsessively hateful towards one player. It’s unfreakin healthy.

Yeah, getting DeAngelo off the PK and defending a lead late certainly seems like a no-brainer. Really think that 5 on 5 Sanheim-DeAngelo struggle too much, and there are other options to try.

Torts can’t keep going to the same 4 defensemen, especially when one isn’t giving you exactly what you need in important situations. I think we see too much of DeAngelo pre game.

I hope if JVR gets traded and Coots gets back on the ice, Cates gets reunited with Frost and Tippett.
