1) I feel very comfortable with my credibility. Because I know what the hell I'm actually talking about.
2) Resorting to hyperbole like calling someone "despicable" when you blatantly know very little about the person or "incompetent" when you have virtually no real-world knowledge base of what management entails is a sure sign that person can be dismissed out of hand. I'm not an expert myself -- not a GM, not a scout, not a coach, not a player -- but I think I grasp things pretty well by layman standards. And I am qualified to discuss the character of people I actually know and/or have friends in the business I trust. The late Jay Greenberg forgot more than you and I together will ever know.
When Jay wrote this, he meant people such as you: "So great is my respect for the difficulty of the job and the dedication and experience men bring to it, that only once can I ever remember calling for a coach’s head. It wasn’t a hockey coach, just a really bad guy. In the vast majority of cases, the coaches know what they are doing and are considered idiots on fan boards, social media and in the upper bowl by persons who have little clue. The same goes for the majority of GMs and scouts but I feel the strongest about the coaches."

3) The Flyers have plenty of problems (salary cap management/planning and a lack of bonafide 1st line/top D pair prospects being near the top). I'm not "defending" anything or saying I agree with every decision. But I'm also not going to suffer a fool. - bmeltzer
OMG! Time flies. I belive the 1-0 shootout loss to the still existing Thrashers, was the last game i saw with John Stevens behind the bench. |

I’ve probably used the word incompetent when describing Fletcher…a better description is his decisions that he is responsible for, have over all, not worked out or have been poor. This is results based business and his speak for themselves. All we seem to get from our GM is excuses as to why his moves have not worked.
Should the fan base have any confidence in our current management hierarchy? I don’t think anyone out there, be it an expert or scout or someone that just see’s where this club is as a fan could logically come to that conclusion that this current group is up to the challenge of building anything close to what Flyers fans were used to.
As far as Clarke or Holmgren having any influence over anything to do with everyday hockey Op’s it’s pretty obvious to they do not. Obviously you would know this from covering the team every day

Offensive stud. He just needed to get comfortable. Finally in his 10th NHL season.
That AHL player Frost with another assist. |

Does anyone else notice how often a player with only a few goals on the season scores against the Flyers? |

lucky play, Frost was lucky the puck landed on Risto's stick, who clearly knew what to do with it! |

Exactly ... Risto was too busy remolding his game. Now his offense is being unleashed. Almost got a 2nd one there. |

Frost is an AHL player so he needs some luck. Frost isn't one of the best players at his position like Ristolainen is. |

4 points in last 5 games….he needs to keep some sort of offence to be effective. |

They have to drop him to 3rd pair and just give him offensive zone starts amd prey. Luckily, he's only signed thru next season. The question has to be asked can Zamula do a worst job in the defensive zone. York can handle PP1. |

The Flyers don't have anyone that can realistically move up.
