I mean the chances of us acquiring Meier are next to none so I won’t waste too much ink on this, but there is a lot of evidence that argues the contrary.

I did answer you with a specific set of variables I would need to know before I can write out a contract for a scorer I may or may not need.

"continues" is a reach - he was at the top of the "worst contracts" lists for a reason. Yes, he is having a career year. I am tickled pink that he turned it around. He has 4 x 9 left after this year with a NMC. If he was a UFA today would I give him that deal (4 x 9)? Not a chance. For 9 mill you can't have the warts that Skinner has. I'd go out and get an even better player (like Meier).

Can anyone on the Skinner is on a bad contract bandwagon point to a single instance where it has hurt the Sabres or Jeff Skinner? Since the Sabres and Jeff Skinner are the only two parties to this "bad contract" at some point one of them must have been hurt by this awful deal.
