. Who knows what Olofsson shows up next year. - Buff36
I'll go out on a limb and a say a guy who scores 20 goal minimum.
What Quinn shows up next year?
What Peterka? |

It won't.
In saying that.. I'm not too sure I would. His QO at 10M is insane. I mean sure I'd hand them CM or VO and a 24 1st and if they didn't want that then whatever. I care way more about the defense. - TheSabresTaco
$10M is crazy, but if you look at him as a remainder of this season and next small go for it move, does that change the perspective?
I'd really like to upgrade one or both of Cozens wings, at least short term until the forward prospects not in the NHL are ready to contribute.
We all know it's not an Adams move, and the acquisition cost may likely be prohibitive. |

I don't think he will either, but I'm also not going to pretend he's even in the same class of goalscorer as Vic. Not even close. |

One is a rookie and one is on a hot streak and has a wicked shot. Quinn will be the better overall player. |

Doesn't matter. If you need to move Quinn, Peterka, another prospect and picks for RD and Top 6 forward help, you do it. |

I wouldn't think so either
Added in Meir trade because he would take his spot
Before you say Adams would never do that
I think we all know that
Was just getting a conversation going |

No you don't, and we don't have to do that. We have plenty of ammunition without including those 2. |

Carolina is very savvy when it comes to their management.
They traded for Max P. for nothing but future considerations, and treated him like an in season pickup when he recovered from his injury.
Even though that didn't work out due to getting injured again, having the ability to place Max's contract on LTIR is going to open up more cap space for trade possibilities.
Very smart to make a move and have a plan for the move working and if something went awry. |

You heard it here first: the Pittsburgh Penguins will miss the playoffs.
They're not just a one line team, they're a one player team. Crosby can't keep winning them games himself. |

They're in their cup window. Incredibly well run franchise.
Edit: if they manage to get Horvat....lock the cup up.

I was never suggesting we trade Quinn or Peterka, only that it's foolish to assume Quinn can replace Vic's goals. Dude's going to more than double Quinns total this season.
Maybe in 3 season Quinn can replace Vic. |

you actually think Horvat can keep this pace up moving forward with a new contract? I have my doubts. |
