I feel like if the player ever wore a Blue Jackets jersey, you have a chubby for them.
We keep saying, "this guy is exactly who we need," and then we get a guy like that, and it never seems to be working out.
Aube-Kubel, Hunt, Simmonds, Clifford, Ritchie, Blackwell, Foligno . . . 5 of those acquired players were waived at some point. I think Anderson is a good player, but I'm starting to think that I have no idea what this team needs and I'm not even 100% sure they do either. - Monkeypunk
Every time we play against him…he dominates
5.5m will be a bargain moving forward
How much do we want to pay for Meier? |

Galchenyuk was traded for Max Domi, Domi was traded for Anderson - Symba.007
So what, 5-6 more years at 5.5m per for a 30pt producer? |

If Anderson had just this year and next at his $5.5, I'd like to have him aboard.
But not for a first rounder and his injury list. Last few years of that contract will be |

I have to admit that really surprised me. He's definitely a tweener, but he's a cheap tweener that I thought someone could have used. - Monkeypunk

so do we finally see that Keefe is not the coach you need in TO the same ugly games keep coming up, if guys are not skating bench them.. this was another useless game by the brain fart Leafs.
If the coach can not get the team up for all games, by adjusting the line up talking to players then he will lead them into another first round flop |

You think a good coach wants to tarnish their reputation with that place? Wouldn't happen. They had to get someone who wants back into the NHL coaching circle and was willing to take the job cause no one else was calling them.

First and a prospect and then see where things are in the summer with a valuable RFA. Boston, TBL and the Canes are all going to load up. Leafs have two shots with Matthews for sure and this shot to show him they’re serious. Meier is one name. There other serious options. IMO, Josh Anderson isn’t one of them |

Tocchet certainly had an amazing lineup to work with in Arizona. and his last year in TB with very young team missed playoffs. As did teams coached by Quinn, Torts, Hitchcock and Crawford to name a few.
Do assistant coaches get any credit for Stanley Cups?

Not as much in the media as like NFL coaches seem to. People go nuts over coordinators in that league.

These dudes are not Josh Anderson, PLD, Tom Wilson, Marchand, Thachuk 1 or 2...these dudes aren't even Max Domi level.
The one thing I do agree with you about is as soon as the Leafs get a player that's known for hits and gritty play, they don't seem to do that any more. Almost like the Dubas/Keefe "possession" game doesn't allow a player to get out of position with a hit. I'm starting to think it's the team "system" and not the acquired players.
But one thing that is 100% clear to me, when I saw Savard dump JT hard to the ice last Habs game, I knew exactly the type of defender we're missing. One that stays in front of the net and punishes players who get any near the goalie before AND after the whistle. The Leafs could definitely use one of those. Our players are usually on the bench drinking blue gatorade already before the last opponent is out of the goalie's face. |
