And to be fair to Patrick Stefan, injuries and concussions derailed his career. - Atomic Wedgie
He was also picked out of a league who had never provided any NHL players drafted out of it of note and never had international success at all leading up to his draft year. He's easily the worst 1st overall pick of all time in my opinion. As mentioned before, also one of the worst drafts of all time. |

From what I understand, he had been sick for a few games, so they just wanted to get him a couple of games with the Marlies to get his sea legs back. |

I think they also wanted a few more games to make a decision between Hunt and McMann. They could move Holmberg down and throw Kerfoot into the 4th C spot for a couple more games.
Samsonov starting tonight |

I just read a rumour that the Leafs might be sniffing around Vladislav Gavrikov from Columbus.
6'3" 221 lbs LHD and apparently has a bit of "sandpaper" to his game.
He's on a contract that expires end of year at 2.8M this year.
Sounds like a new Boosh.
Not sure if a LHD helps really, makes you immediately ask "what LHD is going to play the right side then?".
Garikov is playing 2nd pairing (LD) with the Blue Jackets currently and seems to be an around a 20 min a night guy. The rumour / article I read touted him as being able to bring some of what they miss with no Muzzin.
Guess we will see, getting a LHD seems to be much easier than a RHD for anyone. |

Same here. I always though Hossa had intent when he ended Berard's career. - winsix
Back then I had a source on the Sens, my mother was best friends with the mother inlaw of a player. Said player would talk to his wife who would talk to her mom who would talk to my mom who would talk to me.
From what I understand Hossa was devastated by what happened and carried it with him for a long time. |

Not sure how the guy playing the most minutes a night and the most shifts can be the 2nd pairing defenseman.
He would be a great add if the cost is good. Probably going to Boston though with everybody else. |

Better than Boosh but also more expensive than Boosh. Somebody will toss them a 1st + or a good prospect for that rental. I think the Leafs still prioritize that spot beside JT. |

Personally I would want the 2nd line LW to play with JT and Mitch with some snarl over a D add but who knows what Kyle is up to until it happens (or if it happens).

I dunno' it's what they have him listed as on the team website, do you watch a lot of Blue Jackets games and can confirm he is not on the 2nd pairing?
Maybe he's been playing 1st pairing due to an injury or gets lots of special teams time?
Also screw Boston.
