but how could you still be crying about his usage? he's a healthy scratch again tonight and he's averaged 9:42 a game when he's played

Never liked him. Did I wish the injury on him, no. Did I enjoy watching him pre and post injury? Also no. |

Ok fine now replace the word “usage” with “contract being allowed to take up valuable cap space” |

Because the rare time PP2 would get on the ice, He'd some times be on it. It's a fair comlaint some have. |

Was just about to post this. Unbelievable that POS Slewban got away with that and the others. - Fenrir
And he came out this year saying he was surprised no team wanted to sign him. Every GM in the league was probably in agreement they didnt want to see anymore players get hurt as a result of him. |

they had to at least give him a chance this season, but it's getting more apparent as we get closer to the end of January that he can't compete and that's gonna get rectified soon
but I don't get how people can't see they had to at least give him a chance this season

On the year he has 10 minutes of power play time. 17 seconds a game. Zero goals. Not his fault. "Coach's decision." |

Knew it was gonna come this. So here we are. Even before his injury he was not a quality NHLer amongst his peers. He's been on the ice for the power play as per NHL.com. Source might iffy, idk. Again, I don't expect him to say now when he's told to play. But you better score 1 goal. 1. Not 10. Not 100. 1 But of course, I'm out of my mind for expecting... the bare minimum. |

the poor guy had his knee destroyed, why can't they give him 40+ games to see if he can come back |

I get it, it has to be 50% to resign our guys the following year... its just not going to happen. - aecliptic
If I’m a lesser team that can benefit from retaining I do it, same with Chicago. In Vancouvers case they have a better roster than chicago so yea it’s less likely.

These stupid ass back and forths always come down to the same thing. He’s not saying you’re an idiot because you think he should have a goal he’s saying stop making such a big deal out of it all of the time. That’s how all of these things go and you 3 all just talk past each other. Im not giving my opinion on it, just letting you know it’s happening again |

I think you are saying that you are mad he's still taking a 1.5 million cap hit instead of a different guy from hartford with a 925K cap hit and its the end of the world |

Idk. I think I'm pretty reasonable when it comes to this topic. Given his TOI and the PP. Again there can be nuance here. I don't expect Sammy Blais to tell Gallant "Hey I stink, I'm not gonna take the shift on the PP." Would never expect that. That's a Gallant problem for putting him out there. |

I do not think it’s the end of the world it just seems like a case of sunk cost fallacy by management. Especially now that he’s being healthy scratched. Seems silly to keep him around unless they’re working on throwing him into a deal to get rid of the contract. We got rid of reaves for the same reason…

can you imagine they only gave him 20 games before they pulled the plug, and then he caught on somewhere else and got his game going?
I think they needed to give him the chance they gave him and the plug pull is coming soon
