The only way i'd be interested in that/it would even be possible is if VAN retained 50% of the contract, of which he has 2 more years after this one. I think the likelihood of that is close to zero. Also, he's not been very good. I just don't see that even being remotely close to something that is being seriously looked at - picklerick
If they were serious about a trade, the one Id want with VAN is Horvat and Podkolzin. |

I don’t think he’d cost much tho because of that
He does fit the bill of a RW sniper/shooter tho, which ideally what they get/need. It’s not an outlandish commitment to him. He’s just one of those injury prone guys we all hate
I wouldn’t put this scenario past them: since Chytil is tough pill to swallow ina trade, move him to RW til further notice and trade for a center. Not necessarily Horvat, but a top 9 center. That’s one thing they haven’t tried yet, Chytil on RW. He does get him more ice time that way
I think it’s crystal clear that they need a another scorer desperately |

First, we have to see what the new coaching staff does with that team. Way too much talent there to be so bad. |

I remember seeing something that used those words, but from my experience, it shouldnt take 3 surgeries to fix a torn labrum in the shoulder from dislocation. - aecliptic

If this team makes the playoffs again, there is a 0.0% chance Gallant gets fired. No matter how much I want that top happen. |

-Robertson (or B level prospect we have they’d want)

I was talking about Vancouver.
But as it is, I dont think GG gets fired unless there is a serious rift with the players. |

Do teams retain multiple seasons worth of salary? Ever? It’s through 2025 |

Why would they want Blais? Seriously doubt he gets traded. |

Based on what others have proposed it seems like youre overpaying to get the retainment. However, theres no way they retain 50% for 2 years. You might get 1 mil retained tops.

Well they don’t lol we need them too tho for this trade!
Vancouver should do this tho. Tweak it but why wouldn’t they want to get futures. |

Idk. Unless they think can contend next year, and as of right now that doesn’t seem to be possible.
I did the cap friendly and he would have to be 3.25ish retained by the nucks |

He was never going to be anything but a bottom 6 player at best. He’s got 17 career goals. I don’t blame him I just lament the trade and now his usage |

I get it, it has to be 50% to resign our guys the following year... its just not going to happen. |
