Its not really that bad for Othmann though, 6g 11a through 16 games on a new team. Plus 2g 4a in 7 games in the WC. |

Well it slowed down after he got traded from Flint. - aecliptic
It was slowing down before the trade. |

Othmanns speed is really good right? That’s why they can’t trade him imo. They will need his speed, this is part of the problem offensively this season. Not enough speed |

Just to be clear I wasn’t saying he’s bad or worth trading. I was just wondering what his deal was. It’s usually not a good sign when a junior player regresses |

If the Rangers dont want him for a playoff run, what team will?? - Brukie
Exactly. Put Blais on waivers and hope another team eats his salary. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he retires after this season since he hasn't been the same since the injury. |

I dont know man, I think being on a ppg pace in juniors is what you ideally want from a prospect. |

He may be a kid with no experience but id rather give Cuylle a chance to show if hes capable of playing at an NHL level, even if it is only 10m/g. I think Cuylle, Goodrow, Gauthier could be a fun 4th line. |

With the lines being what Jan said, I'd swap the second and third lines. Give the Kid Line a shot at being the second line and roll the Kreider line as the defensive line for a few games. |

Why not? From what I've heard about Cuylle, he's a banger with talent. Definitely need a change. |

Othmann is apparently close with family members ( I think his Grandparents ) who are very sick. Othmanns new team allows him to go visit them at the hospital. His "slump" is not troubling to me at all, considering the circumstances. |

I really want to see Cuylle at some point this season. He’s exactly what we need in the middle 6 of the lineup. He’ll likely start on the 4th line but ideally in a year or 2 id like to see him in the middle 6. |

I can definitely see him as a middle 6 kind of player, putting up 20/20 with 150+ hits. I think its a gross mistake to not try to tap into that and see what hes got.
However with our depth on the left side it could take years before he gets the minutes to do that. |

there's no reason at this point to think that Cullye or Othmann can't beat out Lafreniere for a job

Reading up from the past two blogs and threads. Interesting to see opinions change from certain people on player performance.
Not sure why Brodzinski was waived over a certain somebody. Saw Hunt on waivers, would gladly take him back over said somebody.
I'm going chuckle to myself with the newly constructed 2nd line of 26-16-21 gets more TOI compared to 13-72-24.

Especially if he is pursing a LT deal. Curious who amongst the contenders can fit in an 8-10 mil AAV on a LT deal |
