It's true.
I suspect that if you played more guys in the league at age 20 or 21 you'd see a lot more of this than we currently do. |

With all these petty squabbles we are ignoring the larger issue. Based on scientific research (my own completely subjective opinion), a championship caliber team needs at least 2 of the 3 below things:
Great coaching
To be so loaded that few, if any, teams can keep up based on skill alone
World beating goaltending
How many do we have?

Nah we just talk lots. Tom's a good dude. Some folks just have some interesting interpretations of what it means to be a prospect.
Most forwards have hit their offensive peak by age 23 or 24. - BINGO!
Unless your Patrick Kane and your offensive peak is when your 34/35/36 and 37. |

We are offensively challenged, other than that we have the goods imo
Say what you want about Gallant, he did take a team IN ITS FIRST SEASON, for crying out loud, to a SCF…and in his first season here he took them to a ECF. To me that has some legs/merit lol. I think he has an expiration date, but I didn’t think it’s here yet. I hope that’s fair |

We have 2 of 3. Gun to my head we don’t have enough offense, specifically shooters, right now. |

Ok so we have Igor and great coaching
You could convince me maybe GG is adequate but great is not possible |

I think we need more physical wingers that can score in the middle 6. Greenway, Crouse (unlikely for numerous reasons) etc are the TYPE of players I think we need. I also think we need a MUCH better 4th line. Goodrow on the 4th line is ideal but I love his versatility being able to slide up and down.
Laf Zib Kakko
Panarin Chytil Kravtsov
Kreider Trochek Greenway
Goodrow X Vesey
That 4th line center would preferably be someone with an edge. (Not the current Brodzinski/Carpenter/Leschyschen options) |

Not trying to be a dyck..but what coach has ever taken a first year team to its sports championship with a bunch of rag tag guys their previous team didn’t want?
He did that, and to me that’s one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen a coach do. And he had my team 2-0 in the ECF in his first year lol. I mean the proof is in the pudding
We could do alot worse than GG. You want Boudreau? Who’s a great coach available anyway. I try not to lineup decisions skew my judgement on coaches. Does it annoy me yea but do I think less of him a coach not really. It’s ironic tho that in Vegas he had set lines religiously so I guess he’s still searching for the right mix. But it’s like enough already stay with something longer than a week, so I get that part |

Yea I agree on physical part. This is why Blais sucking hurts so bad. This was supposed to be his role. So we obviously need to replace him with someone like that
And again not trying to be a dyck, but selling some future now will help this current lineup immeasurably. No matter who we get is going to cost us and I just think it’s the lesser or 2 evils sporta speak getting Kane. I’m off Chytil you can relax lol. I would trade these picks (not all) we have tho |
