Sucks as I grow older because as shy as I once was, it was an icebreaker for me as I could belt out some sweet high notes and/or sustainability i.e. With Or Without You and The Reason by Hoobastank then all the young, cute, and drunken Albertan hooba-skanks would flock to me. Lately I'm like Ted who just mumbles vowels. Creed is go-to no matter what shape one's in sadly. - Tee-Dot

CBJ, Blackhawks, Bettman's NHL charity program and the Ducks look to have a lock on bottom four at this moment. I can see the Habs getting to 27th or 28th - so they will have a good lottery pick.

Agree. Rutherford and Nucks ownership have been classless. Boudreau is a good guy, being treated worse than Ballard's treatment of Roger Neilson.

Really?
Damn.
Warning: do not ever watch Rocky again. My god, it’s the slowest franking movie ever.
Keep your warm, 40 year old memories of it being a good film. |

My friend made me rewatch it a little while ago. It wasn't as good as the first time.

Rocky movies are amazing. You can learn all of life lessons watching that franchise.
Rocky 1 is a little slow yes. But I do believe it's on most people's list of must see movies in your lifetime.

I am finding a lot of stuff just doesnt age well.
Some things were still good though. I saw The Breakfast Club last year and still liked it. Watched the original Top Gun again before going to see Maverick and it was as great as ever. Tombstone was awesome, still.

As far as Rocky goes, we watched them all last year because my son wanted to see them. I guess he liked them well enough but I thought they were awful. The problem is we have UFC now, and I know what happens when you connect directly with someone's face, with a haymaker, even once. I can't suspend disbelief for many combat movies now. |

There is of course some suspended disbelief but you should take a look at real boxing matches. Here's a time stamp of the first one I pulled up on YT when I put in "boxing match" into the search.

One dimensional character and bad acting better have something to make up for it in the story. Poor white kid overcomes odds and beats the champ might be a box office draw but it’s not much of a movie.
I don’t watch many combat movies. Somebody brought up Red October. At the time, it at least had some twists that made it interesting. I just finished watching what I assume will be the first of a few series of Rogue Heroes, about setting up the British SAS fighting in Africa. I enjoyed it because the characters were interesting and it claimed to be historically accurate. |

If you’re interested in films that do age, get the Criterion streaming service. Amazing classics and movies you would otherwise never come across |
