Just couldn’t hang on. Hopefully can get it back in OT. |

Just unreal. Could not get ahold of it to get it out at all there. |

Well add another point regardless but time to just take it in OT. I hope |

Jones, Donato, and Burakovsky the stars.
First in the Pacific!!
Fantastic game. Over 70 shot attempts is just unreal. Beating one of the upper teams again just shows how good they have been this season. |

You're not wrong saying Vancouver Canucks are a hot mess right now... but we've been here before - been there done that. Not the most storied franchise before for certain. Nonetheless - this is a well seasoned fan base and we feel fairly certain of what looks like a good deal and what doesn't ... Yani Gourde at 31 is definitely a NOT HAPPENING. Maybe Tolvanen but only as a small part of a trade.
Honest truth is that teams detest ... avoid ... cringe at trading a long term player within the same division. The Kraken would have to take a deep shave on any dealings with Vancouver - and I am sure the reverse would be true for the Kraken. Just ask Edmonton how the Canucks told them to get stuffed before trading Luongo to Florida.
The deal that would work for the Kraken to get Horvat would be a 1st - Shane Wright - and perhaps some middling prospect... Canucks likely sweetening the deal by throwing in a player for the 3rd or 4th lines. Of course this won't happen.
I am really looking forward to any success Seattle Kraken do find this post season though... I like their underdog beating the odds story. |

Yeah sounds right. But you wonder if Krak are tempted, just like VGK were, and trade young prospects for a go for it move in Bo.

It’s the season to go for it all… Chances like this don’t come around often. |

Personally, I hope the Kraken look at the Canucks like there is a plague in Vancouver and keep transactionally distant. I also hope they don’t bite on the temptation to go for it now, sacrificing the future. The expansion draft seemed to indicate patience and a plan to build (slowly) a competitive team. That they are already showing promise shouldn’t derail that. |

They do if you build a team properly. Then they come around pretty regularly… |

Exactly. Kraken are still building their pipeline. Francis would be stupid trading what few assets are there now for a single shot. Going to need the Wrights and Firkkus’s to replace the aging vets like Eberle and even Gourde up front. Francis was bery selective and calculating this past offseason. I just dont see him blowing all the prospects and picks here. |
