Monaghan makes more sense. I thought it would be nice to see Horvat playing for a divisional rival in their infancy, rubbing it in Vancouver's noses 6 times a year.
Either way, I'm sure Bo is anxious to get out of that hell hole.

Reports are Sweeney wants him in Boston. Their prospect pool is crap though and a first round draft pick will be 30-32…not ideal.

Longtime hockey reporter Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now is reporting that trade talks have picked up recently concerning Horvat, with the Bruins interested in acquiring the Vancouver Canucks captain.

Horvat has been the “centre of attention” for Bruins GM Don Sweeney, Murphy said.

Murphy’s source told him the Canucks’ price remains high on Horvat, with rival GMs wanting assurance that they’ll be able to re-sign the pending unrestricted free agent.

Other teams interested in Horvat include the Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings, Carolina Hurricanes, and Seattle Kraken, according to the report.

Bruins can’t afford to keep Horvat. They still need to work out a deal with Pasternak, bonus overages for Bergeron and Krejci (and maybe deals for those guys). I mean, sure, there’s always a way but…

I think Kraken need to try and get out from under the Grubauer contract and strengthen that position moving forward. Dude has been mediocre at best and still has 4 more years (after this one) at almost $6m!!!!

Tough loss. That first Oiler goal shouldnt have happened. Should have been blown down and the trip on Schultz called. But thats hockey. That and a self goal was the difference. Not the Krakens best game but also not blown out.

8 game win streak and couple tough losses. 8-2-0 in last 10? Take it. 2nd in division.

I agree on Gru. Tough with them being on the hook with that contract but Jones definitely has taken the net. Not much out there on how Dreidger is either.

As for trade deadline still dont see a move with Horvat. We have enough goal scoring. We need to add to better the PK and defensive play. And we need defence depth. I cant see Francis spending assets heavily on Horvat. Cant see giving up Wright, Firkkus etc plus picks to a division rival. I could see Francis nabbing Schenn perhaps for a pick or two.

Shenn trade sounds great.
