A little harsh. They were playing the Western Conference finals last season. Can't judge the Oil until EVK is back and playing healthy. He was lighting the lamp for them quite regularly last year.

I can't say whether McDavid is a leader or not, but he scores enough points that someone else can step the hell up hold guys accountable.

Do we honestly care if Tage plays great in his own end? Not really, IMO. Now, if Dylan Cozens stopped being a great two way player I would be concerned.

I know, i know Ovechkin never became a cup winner until he changed his game (slightly) in the playoffs. I counter by saying OV wasn't already a Cup winner because Mike Green and Alex Semin were two of the worst playoff choke artists I've seen in my life, and that Crosby guy wasn't too shabby.

The West is still anyone's game this year. I certainly wouldn't count the Oil out.

Evander Kane returned 3 games ago for them, and has been averaging 17 minutes of ice time while playing on the top line.

His injury was gruesome, and it could take a fair bit of time for him to get back to a high level of play.

He does have 13 shots on goal in the 3 games since he's returned, but he has no points to show for it, is a minus 4, and took a pair of penalties against Tampa.
