Very true Boss, but a team 18mill under the Cap should be able to find away to get rid of a player if need be, by buy out or retaining. The Sabres don't want to do that so here we are.
- Buff36

if Adams did not bring back Vinnie or sign a career NHL backup to a 2 year deal it would not be an issue

or bring back a goalie waiting for his aarp card and can only play 1 game a week

while poyer and rachel are making their plea for a big contract with the media

there is a lot of safeties locked up for big money already and a lot of free agents

maybe they should let the process play out

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Greg Roman has decided to step down as the Baltimore Ravens' offensive coordinator Thursday amid fan outrage and player frustration.

Roman had one year remaining on his deal, which was believed to be a team option.

That's actually kind of scary. They might actually hire someone that can call a passing game.

You can't buy out a player in the middle of the season.

There's a real question that retaining would be enough to move him either. Burying him is fine, don't know why they waited so long.

Vinnie could also choose the Bogosian route...

Sure you can; the Sabres did it with Sheahan. It was a buyout in everything but name.

He could fight it, sure, but I'm sure some team would take a flyer on him for the min and he could stay in the NHL.

Contracts can be terminated if both the player and team mutually decides on a termination and the player clears waivers. This often happens for non-NHL players that wish to go play in Europe, so both sides agree to terminate. When the player does not want to terminate (like in DeAngelo's case), the contract can only be terminated if the player does something to violate it. This is very rare. Even if a player refuses to report and play, usually the contract is still valid but the player is suspended and the contract does not count against the cap. A buy-out can only happen in the off-season during the 2 buyout windows.

Good thing they have the Hodgson buyout and Bishop contract to help them still meet the cap floor if that happens with Hinostroza.

Alec Baldwin is being Charged in that Rust shooting.
- Buff36

He did kill a woman with a gun.

Just like if you run someone over with your car and kill them, it’s vehicular manslaughter.

He is a professional actor. No excuses. He should be charged.

They need a QB that can throw the ball first. As it stands, they have three who can’t.

The point is Sheahan isn't here anymore. There are many ways to make a guy go away midseason.
