What??
Did someone say trade Stanley for Puljijarvi and then insert Puljijavi on the 2nd line with Dubois and Connor??
Huh?? |
|

I am also hearing that Sasha Barkov could be made available. I say go for the fences and bring in Barkov. Imagine that center depth going into the playoffs.
Or otherwise, we trade Pionk and Heinola as part of a package to get Meier and Karlsson.
This is the last all-in year the Jets will have under the current core. Also look at the message one of the trades above would send to the locker room. - TheUltimateJet
You want to go all in but you sure don’t offer Stanley up in any deals? What’s up with that? Guess you are not all in. |

My GM hat proposals:
Stanley+ for Puljujarvi
Pionk for Reinhart
Appleton for whatever pick
Ehlers-Scheifele-Reinhart
Connor-Dubois-JP
Perfetti-Lowry-Wheeler
Barron-Gus-Gagner
Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Heinola
Samberg-Schmidt
OR
Perfetti-Scheifele-Ehlers
Connor-Dubois-JP
Barron-Reinhart-Wheeler
Gus-Lowry-Gagner
Keep AJF and Kuhlman as extras. Waive the rest of the forwards - Rexypoo
I’m a big Gus fan and I’m not giving up on him, but for this year Stenlund has severely out played him, and deserves to play ahead of him this season at least |

Yessir. The man has exactly one weakness as a player: shooting. But he retrieves pucks and defends like no one’s business. He’s exactly what they need, and don’t have |

Stenlund is a guy. He’s big Kuhlman, young Lewis, and centre Armia.
Gus is a homegrown, and has shown himself to be craftier than those guys. There’s still something there |

Yes, why I just said for the remainder of this year it’s Stenlund over Gus. Next year, it’s Gus’s spot again |

That’s just saying you don’t want Gus to develop. He’s gaining nothing on the bench or with the Moose at this point |

I am glad you pointed out his strengths as I was unaware he had any aside from being a decent skater.
It would seem that he has had ample time playing with top league centres to display his skills and he has not been able to establish himself.
I agree he could benefit from a change of scenery, just not sure Wpg wants to roll the dice halfway through an up year by taking the chance on a reclamation project and give up an asset like Stanley.
Hopefully there are better trade options out there than JP. I have no issues trading Stanley for a player than can help the Jets, just not convinced JP is that player. |

Stanley has played himself out of the lineup. We can trade him for a JP type, or make him a dead asset by benching him.
But yeah, pool party is not going to be a sudden 70 point guy. Jere Lehtinen lite is highly possible |

What value does Stanley have?
I had high hopes for him, outside of maybe getting a 5th round pick he’s not bringing in anything. However, if Florida wants him as part of a package to get Barkov or Reinhardt trade him right away. Stanley is useless for this years Jets, however could mean a lot to the 2025-26 Jets. |

He’s got Heinola and Samberg with him, and Chisholm chasing him up the ladder. Stanley is cooked as a Jet |

I'm high on Toews as well, just not as much as I am on Meier. Of course Toews price tag would be less.

I do know one thing, we definitely need another center that can score. After tonight’s game its been 21 games since Lowry scored his last goal. Lowry would be a great 4th line center for the stretch run! |

0 interest in Toews, as a rental or otherwise. He’s cooked, and I’m not interested in having him in a Jets jersey at all after his completely limp-d*cked handling of the Kyle Beach situation |

Then you will have zero interest in Pororov as well due to his refusal to wear the jersey. |

True North (Chipman) will determine whether Toews fits in with their "moral standards" or not.
I maintain that no Russians will be Jets out of respect to the large Ukrainian population here.
