I don't want Rielly and Timmins on the ice together in any scenario. Because Rielly is a massive defensive liability and Timmins is not built to bail him out.

Because you can't have 1/3 of your pairings be a complete defensive black hole, it's too easy for the opposing coach to cherry pick that pairing, especially on home ice.

They've already been chewed up on the first goal, Murray had to make a huge glove save to bail them out early... And well basically that goal right there proves my point.

Well then Timmins should be sat in favour of Benn before mixing up the other pairs.

Im not opposed but I also don't think mixing up the other pairs is as detrimental as you think. Keefes been doing it all season long, which is going to happen when you've had 10+ defenceman in and out of the lineup, and the results have varied.

This is the type of game where the Leafs big four have to earn their money. It's Bergeron-Pasta for the Bruins, and Bunting-Engvall for us. Win us a meaningful game.

Loads of pairs but only a small percentage were effective ones. Hence why sticking to something that works is by far and away the most ideal choice.

Oh I haven’t had an issue with Timmins. Joel just doesn’t like him with Rielly so I tossed out that suggestion.

And poop… the bruins take the lead with those two on the ice of course

No more talking about them folks!!!!

There's room for an argument to be made that none of the pairs have performed decent enough they need to be kept together tonight and Thursday, but oh-vey Rielly/Timmins is getting greased to the point you want to do something for sure.

The problem hasn’t been them together. They’ve made individual plays that were problems. Rielly was under pressure and made a deflected pass. Timmins made a dumb play. It has nothing to do with them as a pair.
