Stubhub tickets for todays game going for half price vs the opener

Weird. I wonder why?

Maybe it being cold out and miserable out people don’t want to go

- Sabretooth9

NFL ticket exchange gives you a rough price to sell your tickets for. They suggested $399 each on monday.

Watched the market until Friday, lowered them to $200 each and they sold. $180 after fees. Paid $150 st price.

Rather go next week.
If they lose to Miami, who really wants to be there?
Cinci game will be different
It's not just a cold weather thing IMO.
its quality of opponent as well.

I agree but I think you could get someone pretty damn good who has term on a contract for a pair of 2nds and b prospect like Bloom, Kiskov or Nadeau.
- Hank Balling

Agreed completely. I was surprised to see that Murphy's underlying stats in Chicago were so good. I'd move a second+ for him.

I wonder if he would have sat even if he was healthy. I think he has punched his ticket out of town already.

"Prospects become suspects" - Ted Nolan.

It's best to not get too enamored with your own prospect pool. See: Laffy, Byfield, Rossi and even Krebs if you want it.

It still has to be a guy that slots in to a need. Would we have the Cozens that we see today if they have would brought in a vet to play 2C and PP1? I just don't want to see anyone play at the expense of the kids that we know are going to here long term.

For sure. Defense is what I'm looking for because they really have nothing behind Johnson in the pipeline. It's still hard to attract FAs and they can't wait 4 years for a 2023 draft pick to show up. D is where it's at.

I agree with this idea.

No way am I trading Krebs Quinn jj.

Keep the band together and add without killing your prospect pool.

That would he one way to do it

It’s a home playoff game vs a division rival

No way in hell should prices be that low

If it’s 40 degrees. Those prices are way higher

I can't imagine this to be true going forward. The Ralph stank is gone and this team is young and exciting. It also has a ton of cap space available - probably more than any team that isn't in a rebuild. But yeah, at some point multiple moves need to be made to address the bottom 3 D.

No realistic trade or trades would have put us in a playoff spot. Points are really hard to make up.

You would have traded mitts and olofsson.

I trust KA

- Boss34

What do you mean, he could have helped that Defense out during that 8 game loosing streak and the injuries. Jesus even if we win just 2 of those games we are 3pts behind Washington with 4 games in hand.

Prediction today: The D line (even without Philips) dominates the game today. The D plays 7 and 8 in the box and eventually Miami is forced to pass after falling behind. The game then becomes a laugher.

4 years for a 1st round defenseman to develop

How many years before a 2nd round pick defenseman makes a difference?

Free agent Nhl defenseman = free agent nfl lineman

Absolutely, if its 50 degrees out, the prices are even higher.

I'm sitting on my couch with $180 in my pocket
Cold is a small part of the equation

I feel like they should win , if they don't, I'm glad I'm not there.

Watch the prices for cinci bounce back

Beasley and John brown are in the lineup today.

I think they both play more than 4 snaps like they previously were doing

I feel like they have been saving those 2 guys for playoffs

I realize this is your thought process around here.
Make trades every day, criticize KA for not making them, then come up with another trade.

It's not that simple and you would have traded mitts and olo. 2 guys that just added 4 points to our totals.

You willing to give up our 1st next year?
Cause murphy for a 2nd ain't happening.

No trade is happening until near the deadline
Most teams aren't making any trades around the league.

I think people get way to enamored with numbering lines or “top 6/bottom 6” designations.

Jack Quinn and Peterka have been good at times, but they’ve also by far played the least amount of ice time of any of the regular top 9 forwards. They’ve also sat numerous times and probably will again.

There is/was room for a significant forward add

You're right, and I am not coming at it from that perspective. I want to see the kids playing in the spots that they need to be playing in. But yeah, we can identify 6 - 8 guys that can be upgraded without controversy.

OK, so no trades have happened that might have helped us over the last month and a half or even waivers that might have fit here. And really every trade I said other than Timmins really is a TDL deal. Never said I would give up this year's 1st, actually have said more than once it would need to be the perfect trade to move are 1st. And stop making excuses for Adams, you can do both build through the draft and add pieces other ways as a GM. His team is exceeding expectations and you don't have to make a huge move to help them. You can still evaluate and add a piece to make a push, they deserve it and it would help in there growing and development.

- sbroads24

Like normal, you took it to an extreme.

The talk was this upcoming draft being the last time for the foreseeable future to be keeping the 1st round pick.

The other point is this year's draft is strong enough that the Sabres could make the playoffs and still get a high quality player with their 1st round pick.

The Sabres equivalent in a trade for Conor Timmins would've been someone like Brett Murray.

Timmins is also an RHD.
