Panthers have a kid sitting as the number 7 right now who they want to send to AHL so he can play a lot.
Fitz is the new number 7, ready for when Mark Staal needs a rest. If he does well, maybe Maurice will start giving M Staal more & more rest.

I am probably the poster child for "play the kids" and I don't have a problem with benching the kids at all. The two of them have been terrible for 9 games. It's all part of the process - every young player needs it to happen at some point.
